Had gone to Dr Eddy several years, had seemed kind and helped me some. In recent years however her wait to see her times have often gone to over an hour( with an apmt.) then she no longer seems to hear what Im saying but instead becomes judge-mental and even rude. Also after my latesst blood test she sent results saying my cholesterol was too
high. I took my result sheet from lab to my heart Dr. who informed me my cholesterol was just perfect, not high. Another time she said a leg rash was a fungus and prescribed a cream that made it worse. I went to a dermatologist who biopsied a bit of rash finding it deff wasn't a fungus, but gave a shot and prescript that cured in one week. Dr. Eddy has changed and now feels more quick to judge than helpful. After about 20 years of going to her Im done.

This is a terrible doctor. Let's just say that if it's a matter of life or death don't go to her. She won't take your ailment seriously. On the contrary, if she thinks it's insignificant H. Pylori Mrs. Bertrand will say you are lucky it's not cancer. You have to be dying to be worthy of her services, if you can call it that.

Here's a little background. My dad came to this doctor on numerous occasions for almost 2 years. My dad got cold sweats, severe vomiting, diarrhea, and loss of appetite, and nausea. She blamed it on his diabetes and she also had diabetes so the same thing would happened to her. My dad would get sick with these symptoms on and off. He preferred to not go to Bertrand because she did nothing. On one of these occasions that he got sick my mom convinced him to go. Finally another doctor saw him since Bertrand was unavailable (thank god!) The new doctor realized the seriousness of his symptoms. He/she requested a colonoscopy and one other test. They found H. Pylori. This condition could in some cases lead to cancer. On a follow up visit now with Bertrand she said at least you don't have cancer. She's a monster! I asked my parents to change their doctor as soon as possible. It's important to mention that other doctors at Northridge Hospital took notice of the seriousness of my dad's condition. The first thing they would ask is if he'd gone in for a colonoscopy. Bertrand refused to refer him.

Beware of this person! In my book I wouldn't call her a doctor.

Went for my annual check up this year, and despite being very hesitant and worried about it since last year I felt it wasn't the best experience--- I was pleasantly suprised! Last year they didn't have anything to measure my height, which I thought was weird. This year they didn't initially measure my height again, so I asked if they could measure it, explaining that last year their machine was broken so it didn't get done. The lady kindly measured me.

Dr. Eddy Bertrand was nice. I did think the visit was short, but she was nice and didn't seem curt or in a hurry. Last year she asked me about my religion the first time U saw her, and it seemed like it was a prostilitizing way as opposed to wanting to know for maybe my medical preferences if I were a Johovah's Witness or something and my religion would then affect my treatment--- it was more like she was wanting to know in order to talk to me about it and get me interested in religion. This was so strange and I had read before that she did this to other people, so I was nervous coming back this year because I did not want to deal with that again. However, she didn't mention religion at all! I was very grateful and relieved for that and it made my visit this time SO much better.

The women at the front desk were very nice and helpful and so was Kelly who helped me with filling my prescription with Riteaid.

What was NOT nice, was that I was told to go downstairs to the Labcorp facility to get my urine sample and bloodwork tested, and when I went down there they told me at the desk that I had to be fasting in order to take my test! I was FURIOUS because I had eaten breakfast that morning on purpose because I thought my blood sugar would be low and mess up my bloodwork otherwise--- so if someone would have told me to fast when they called the day before to confirm my doctor's appointment, I totally could have done that. After having it out with the Labcorp people, they called my doctor to see if I could get the test done without fasting. Doctor said I should fast. Angry, I went back upstairs to the doctor's office and waited around for a minute to speak with Dr. Eddy. She was very nice and explained that because some girl fasted and then fainted and cracked her head open, it was a liability thing to tell people to fast---- that sounds ridiculous to me that they can't even suggest doing it since it is REQUIRED to do your annual check up tests... but whatever, at least the doctor was nice about it. All the ladies there were nice and helpful to me, despite me being upset--- even the people at the labcorp facility were nice even though I was very angry.

Kelly was extra helpful and not only had called in my prescription for me, but she printed off for me pages where labcorp locations are so I could schedule another appointment to go in after fasting. I really appreciated all their help!

They give you an opportunity to sign up online so you can get your test results quickly, however I thought it was really great that they also mailed out the results as well, because the cards they mail you have what is considered normal compared to your results-- online it didn't provide any info to compare your results to, so I didn't know how my levels compared to what was normal.

Also they validate parking in the parking deck behind the building

I was a patient of Dr. Eddy's for 10 years. She is very quick which was fine for a time, but as my medical needs grew I saw that she and her staff cut corners. The staff is rude. Wait time is often ~half-hour for appts. Dr. Eddy prescribed me antibiotics when I didn't need them which ended up giving me a series of yeast infections. She was very cold and quick about even though I was crying in pain after having so many in a row. She didn't tell me to get off the unnecessary antibiotics. My own research made me realize those were the issue. Last visit I was tested and told that if anything was wrong, they'd give me a call. Otherwise I would receive positive results via mail. I got my mail, and a bad diagnosis. I was absolutely shocked and it was a Saturday so I couldn't call the office for an explanation. I was terrified. When I spoke to her she didn't seem to care less and told me there was nothing I could do. She didn't apologize for not even calling to tell me. She shouldn't be a MD.

Unfortunately, Dr. Eddy is always in too much of a rush to listen and doesn't take the time to consider everything you have said before she is taking out the RX pad for a medication or medications. She recommended a blood pressure medication for my migraines when my BP was 110/80 and also recommended an antidepressant for the same migraines. I'm not depressed. My suspicion is that I am dehydrated and constipated, but when I told her that she recommended a colonoscopy. I told her my ankle was swollen for 6 weeks. She told me to elevate it. I told her I had as well as icing it. She said it wouldn't go away and that I must of spranged it. I'm sorry to say, but I feel my visits with her have been a total waste of time. No follow-up and not taking enough time to consider all the facts.

saw her for follow up on gallstones, she told me i needed to have it removed. when i started crying, she said god gave me gallstones for a reason. told me a story about a man who had cancer and she was happy he got it because it made him change his life style. i told her i took it hard because i had other conditions develop that were chronic and i was overwhelmed. she told me she didnt feel sorry for me, others have it way worse. i asked for a referral to a dietitian to learn how to eat low fat, she then said i could never be cured and stop looking for a cure. she did all of this while i was full on sobbing. AVOID HER LIKE THE PLAGUE. see any other doctor in this office. JUST NOT HER.
