I was referred to Dr. Key to follow up with after being in the hospital due to kidney stones blocking the kidney causing me to become septic. This was in December. I went to the office for follow up. I sat in the lobby for an hour before being called back to see the doctor. I saw a pa named Heather first. She tried telling me there were no stones seen on my xray. I knew there was a stone because they refused to do anything with the stone until all the infection was gone. A couple minutes later Dr. Key came in. Gave me yet more antibiotics, said he wants to go through the ureter to blast the stone, but can't get any operating room time until after new years. I kept calling and calling after the new years, and kept being told a message was sent to heather, a message was sent to the scheduler, they will call they will call. They didnt. In the mean time I ran out of a couple prescriptions they gave me so my partner went to the office to get more samples. While there she demanded to talk to the scheduler and magically she got a date for the procedure. I also got cdiff from so many antibiotics, and it took several calls and messages to get an order for a test to verify I had it. More medicine prescribed... Finally February 4th,Dr Key did my procedure. Breaking the stone up,put another stint in. He may be a good dr but I only saw him a few minutes before the procedure, and a few minutes after. Gave me yet more antibiotics! While trying to get dressed I kept telling the nurse I was peeing but had no control. I am continent normally. I kept telling them this many messages, and finally i was told to come in. The reason I wasn't continent was because the stint wasn't placed right so the ureter was wide open. Dr Key shoved it back up to where it was supposed to be,took a pee sample thru straight cath, told I would be notified if i needed a different antibiotic, and to come back the following week to have Dr. Key remove the stint. Then the next day walmart tells me I have 2 prescriptions ready-2 different antibiotics! I call the office, more messages sent to who?? Nobody ever called me back to explain which one I was supposed to be on. So I took the ones I hadn't been on the past few months-just a guess. Then I got two calls to verify my appointment for the following week so my partner called to verify and was told 945. We showed up at 940,and the receptionist said my appointment wasn't til 1045!! So we waited...Then when we get back into the room,it is a doctor I have never met, couldn't tell me which antibiotic I should be taking, but pulled the stint out. The lady at the check out said I could sit down and she would check me out. I said no,not waiting and will NEVER be back. Dr. Key may be an good doctor but the whole office staff is ridiculous!! NO COMMUNICATION!! Patients be ware!!! The only good thing was the technician that assisted us...
