I consulted with Spitzer after being referred because of positive ELISA and Western for Lyme disease and Lyme arthritis. Dr. Spitzer did not want to treat me because he believes that one oral treatment of Doxycycline if enough to eradicate Lyme causing bacteria. This doctor is totally uneducated concerning Lyme disease, he should do his homework before treating patients.
