I am writing this review with a heavy heart and a sense of deep disappointment. I have been a patient of Dr. Nabila ElZind for over a decade, and while I had previously held her in high regard, recent events have forced me to reconsider my opinion.

For the past 10 years, I had been prescribed Oxycodone to manage my chronic pain. However, over time, I found myself becoming increasingly dependent on the medication. Recognizing the danger of this addiction, I made the difficult decision to stop taking Oxycodone. I was proud of my decision and hoped that Dr. ElZind would support me in this challenging transition.

Unfortunately, my experience was far from supportive. Despite my pleas and the clear evidence of my suffering, Dr. ElZind has refused to prescribe an alternative pain medication, Acetaminophen 4, which could help manage my pain without the risk of severe addiction. Her refusal has left me in a state of constant, excruciating pain for the past two months.

I understand the need for caution when prescribing pain medication, especially given my history. However, I believe that a patient's well-being should always be the primary concern. In this case, I feel that my well-being has been overlooked. The lack of empathy and understanding from someone who has been my healthcare provider for so many years is deeply disheartening.

I am sharing my experience in the hope that it may serve as a cautionary tale for others. It is crucial to have a doctor who listens, understands, and supports you, especially when you are making difficult decisions about your health. Unfortunately, in my case, I did not receive the support I needed from Dr. ElZind.

I don’t know if the doctor is good or not. Her office manager refused my daughter because I wouldn’t just pay the office visit. Our family deductible had been met so per my insurance I only owed 10% coinsurance. She said I could call my insurance, which I did, and she then refused to talk to them. She said my insurance had to call her at their office. Explained to her no, this department only speaks to the insured but the lady would talk to her on my phone. The office manager refused and said that was a lie. They can call. I suggested she call the provider benefits line to verify my insurance and she said NO she did not have time. She could see on her computer our family deductible was met but not my daughters individual. Each individual does not have to meet a deductible when there is a family deductible. After I told her all she was trying to do was to get double paid she refused us service. Handed me my card and said I could find another neurologist to see. Children’s in OKC here we come. Beware and make sure you know what you owe up front. Do not rely on them to verify your insurance or charge you the right amount.
