Dr. John L.E Nugent was my Mother's oncologist from 1995 until April 13, 2013 when she passed. She became ill with what she believed to be a cold in December 2012. During an appointment with her Dr. Nugent agreed that it was "probably just a cold." She had had her labwork drawn prior to this appointment so he would have the results before seeing her. He told her that she was in good health and sent her a letter stating this also. Over the counter medicines did not help my Mother. She wound up in the hospital with pneumonia that it turns out was a complication of her breast cancer that had returned and spread throughout her body. This horrific result was because Dr. Nugent had not been ordering periodic cat scans on my Mother. It would have been diagnosed earlier and hopefully put into remission. She suffered many complications and suffered tremendously before she died.
