Simply put, dr. Grim is unprofessional, rude and childish and it doesn’t appear he has much concern for his patients and their health. We( my husband and I went with him because he was very sick and lost his voice) saw Dr. Grim as a follow up to an emergency room visit. He told us he didn’t know how we were even permitted to come to the office because my husband has symptoms that could be covid. ( he was tested in er and negative and was told to go to the dr for follow up) We explained my husband was having severe throat pain, coughing, ear pressure and extreme exhaustion ( sleeping more than 18hours a day) The doctor listened to his chest and said he was going to prescribe a steroid and said it was probably covid. I asked if he could look at his hear that was giving him trouble, then he did. I asked him how to get a lab test done for covid. He said he didn’t know. I asked if the hospital offered it and he as a doctor could write up a request. He left the room to find out. Overall we felt like he wasn’t very thorough and pretty dismissive because he assumed it was covid. We went and got the covid test- negative and he went through the steroid and the antibiotic ( prescribed at er) he continued to be sick. (3 weeks) And so I called the practice to see if we could see another doctor, they wouldn’t let us but said we could see a nurse practioner and they scheduled it. It seemed he was getting better so we canceled that appointment. Then, by the weekend he got worse. I spent 2 ½ hours on the phone waiting to talk to a nurse and she gave us advise on how to treat his symptoms until we could see a doctor and they scheduled us with a nurse practioner for that Monday. We were called before our appointment and told we were red-flagged because of covid symptoms, and needed to go virtual I explained that the nurse said we needed an in-person appointment and that my husband tested negative twice for covid. They permitted us to come in. When they called us back they informed us that we would be seeing Dr. Grim because they won’t let us move to a nurse practioner. So we saw dr. Grim. Before even checking my husband dr. Grim jumped on his computer and said he was ordering my husband a chest x ray and bloodwork. I explained that he had a white soar in his throat and still had ear pressure. The dr. looked quickly at his throat and ear. Then he said he was prescribing him an antibiotic. I said “ are you sure?” ( because I was worried about a second round of antibiotics and he couldn’t tell us what was wrong) He snapped back “ No I am not sure, I have only been a doctor for many years and I don’t know what I am talking about” Then he went on to say that he saw in my husband’s file that we requested to see another doctor and he didn’t appreciate that… He went on to say that hundreds of people come to him as a doctor and we should find another doctor. He went on to say “good luck” because other doctors are not taking new patients. I tried to steer the conversation back to the care of my husband and asked him a question about the extreme exhaustion my husband was experiencing ( sleeping 18 plus hours a day) and how it has gone on for 3 weeks… and he turned his back to me and refused to talk to me. And so I asked my husband to see if he could get him to answer him and I went to the waiting room. I later went up to the receptionist with my list of questions and asked her to take them back to my husband and I requested for the practice manager to call me. That was yesterday @ 8:30 am and it is 12:30 the next day and we haven’t been called. So far, my husband is still very sick, no change and we don’t know our next step. We have tried to get a new doctor but they can’t see us till the end of the week ( new patient appointment) Simply put, dr. Grim is unprofessional, rude and childish and it doesn’t appear he has much concern for his patients and their health.
