I had my shoulder operated on back in 2009. This doctor was rude always talked over me and did not listen to me. I now have to have another surgery on the same shoulder for the same problem.

Unfortunately Dr. Kalvoda passed away after having done my knee replacement. Unfortunate for me I had to have a revision of the replacement because he put the wrong sized spacer in the knee prosthetic. The knee has never been the same.

Terrible! Radiologist gave a reading of my MRI as Adhesive Capsulitis and the doctor stated it was a torn rotator cuff. When a health professional heard who I went to and what he was going to do, she begged me to get a second opinion. I did...turned out to be Adhesive Capsulitis and the surgery was quick, easier, and very effective - with another surgeon. When I called Dr. Kalvoda's office to tell them what it really was, he poo-poo'ed the diagnosis and make out like it was a sin to get the second opinion after he had given his opinion. What do you suppose would have happened if I had gone to surgery with Kalvoda and it wasn't a torn rotator cuff? Do you suppose he would have "fixed" the cuff anyway or would he have see what the real problem was and fixed that? I'm glad I didn't get to experience it! Turns out he was going through a divorce, and was just condescending to everyone who came near. Unfortunately, I've heard since my incident that he hasn't gotten any better.

This man was the worst professional I have ever dealt with. I refuse to acknowledge his doctor title. First he would repeatedly brag to me about how quickly it took him to do my surgery. Maybe I'm wrong here, but surgery should be thorough, not speedy. My knee is SIGNIFICANTLY worse after his surgery. 6 months after the fact, I asked him why my knee continued to swell up like the size of a cantaloupe, and his response was, "Oh, I must have nicked the bursa sack, and you now have Bursitis. It's fine." WHAT?!?! My knee swells to mutant sizes and now I'm being told it's fine? Additionally, the man openly mocked me the day after my surgery for using ONE crutch. Then in the same visit, he proceeded to take out my stitches: the one problem being that he forgot to snip one of the stitches first, and proceeded to tear a tied stitch from my knee. He was condescending, rude, and made unilateral decisions. He did not listen to me, and would repeatedly talk over me when I asked questions.
