Dr. Gota is very business like and thorough. She takes immediate action when it is necesssry. She has been interested in finding a cause for my symptoms.

I saw Dr. Gota in December of 2017 in hopes of her helping me. My experience was nothing but poor. She is very rude and abrasive. Walks in the room doesn’t introduce herself just sits down at her computer and starts asking questions. No eye contact, kindness, compassion, or people skills. You would think a physician working at one of the top ranked hospitals in the country would at least say hello as they are meeting a patient for the first time. Cleveland Clinic should be embarrassed they have this physician representing them. I also had blood work done over a month ago, and have yet received a call regarding the results. (Inspite of me calling the office several times). I’m sure she will bill my insurance at the top rate. I feel I should be paid for dealing with such a rude, and arrogant Physician!!!

I was see by Dr. Gota after years and years of seeing specialists in Michigan. Finally, someone took me seriously and referred me to the Cleveland Clinic. I live in Michigan, so the trip was not convenient. I had to pay travel expenses out of our pockets, overnight stay, as well as babysitting expenses. However, this was all well worth it in my opinion to see a doctor who supposedly was going to take a vested interest in helping me figure out what's going on. I was severely disappointed and frustrated. Dr. Gota did ask questions about my medical history, but in a very clinical way. No sense of actually caring about me as a person. She never discussed or brought up any MRI images or X-ray images that I worked feverishly to get sent to her from Michigan. In the end, she basically just ordered some blood work and said that she would "see" me the following week to discuss the results. Well, I never received a call. So I set-up my account on the MyChart website. A week later, I received a very curt, general (not even complete thoughts or sentences) message from her. No mention of the "red flags" that showed up in my blood work. Nothing. It was basically a "you're fine" message. I cried I was so upset. So I messaged her back, asking for a more detailed explanation. What about the main issue I came for? What about the red flags in my blood work? What about your personal reccommendations? What about the referral to gastroenterology (which in response she said that she "didn't know any of those doctors" in reference to where I live. Um, what?). What about the request to see dermatology that I asked for (in which she messaged that department during my office visit?). In the end, it was a complete waste of time and money and I couldn't be more frustrated by the whole thing.

Horrible doctor...She was cold, impatient, rude, curt and abrasive. She refused to explain anything, only staring at her computer and not making eye contact. She became aggressive and nasty when I asked questions. She was unprofessional and dismissive and then ordered tests for a disease I don't have and was completely off track. When she emailed me my abnormal results after I returned home many months ago, I asked her several questions which she ignored- unethical! I suggest you write to the State Medical Board to complain- The Cleveland Clinic should be ashamed to employee this woman, especially after all of these negative reviews! Thankfully, I have a wonderful team of doctors who have diagnosed me correctly and I am receiving the proper treatment.

Don't expect much on follow up. I was given a curt reply though I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease
Shame really as I was so hopeful after waiting months for an appointment. Dr
Gota, it is rude to take personal phone calls during a patient's visit.

Probably the worst doctor I've ever seen. She insisted that she take numerous "standard" (her word) tests on me, and then billed me almost $1,000 (and that's after insurance!). I know at least one of the tests was unnecessary, because (as I told her) there is no way I could have been pregnant, and she insisted on taking a pregnancy test anyways. When I called to ask what tests she'd taken (in other words, what illnesses she'd ruled out) she was extremely rude, treating me like I was impertinent for asking and refusing to explain what the tests indicated in layman terms. (I spent about two minutes on the phone with her; I wasn't asking for a lot!) In the end I learned nothing about what had been ruled out, and both the visit and the pricey tests were useless. My main problem, though, is how she treated me like an exasperating idiot (she actually "huffed" multiple times on the phone with me) for asking what I'd actually been tested for/paid money for. In the end I felt like I'd been conned out of $1,000; it was downright unethical.

Do not go to this doctor. Go to another medical facility for Rheumatology, not Cleveland Clinic. She will diagnose you with Fibromyalgia, asking you how much money you have, while she is handing you the enrollment forms for her Fibromyalgia Rehab Program. She incorrectly documents your reported symptoms, and writes very offensive and inaccurate consultation reports. She and 3 other rheumatologists in her dept. overlooked a severely fractured foot, told me that chronic joint subluxations are not painful, incorrectly diagnosed a rash as not being due to an autoimmune disease, and refuses to coordinate and consult with other specialists in order to come to a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.

This doctor needs to learn how to LISTEN. She stared at her computer for most of my appointment, and did NOT listen to my symptoms. She gave me a general diagnosis, which I already knew and recommended increasing my walking by 5 minutes a month to get better! INCREDIBLY LUDICROUS! Then she sent my doctor a report that totally contradicted everything she said in the appointment, with me and my husband. In fact this report was UNPROFESSIONAL and OFFENSIVE. Do not take your dog to see this woman. I am appalled that a prestigious institution like Cleveland Clinic would employ such a quack.
