Let me start by saying that Dr. Carson is retiring in July 2015, so that's the good news. My son had an appointment with his last week and we decided to up the dose of his prescription. He now takes a pill and a half a day of said prescription. Rather than write a prescription for 45 pills (enough to last the entire month), Dr. Carson decided to write 2 separate prescriptions for the same medication. Naturally, insurance companies won't cover that. So I'm left to pay $50 out of pocket when I was paying $0 before. I have called and left several messages, emails, etc. and they refuse to return my calls. He has also always come across as though he has better places to be and he really doesn't know much about the cardiac issues my son has, although he claims to. Thankful he's retiring.

Dr Carson is the most unprofessional doctor I have ever met. I went to take my 3 year old daughter who was diagnosed with high blood pressure. He rolled his eyes the first time she moved while he was taking her blood pressure. The second time she moved he told a staff member that this was going to be a very short appointment. The third time she moved he stood up and told us come back in a year. As I demanded a full refund for the lack of service he provided, He told the receptionist to go ahead and refund the money since we only came to look at the fish (fish tank in waiting room). Please don't waste your time and money by going to this doctor. I myself work in the medical field and I have never, ever seen such an unprofessional, not caring individual. A person like this should not deal with individuals, especially not children, that come to his office for medical advice.

Dr. Carson diagnosed our daughter's VSD when she was 2 weeks old and has been monitoring her for the past 5 years. He has always been kind, compassionate and very clear in his explanations. From the first visit he illustrated very clearly how the defect looked and gave us a thorough prognosis. The VSD has closed up very similarly to how he described it would. We only see him once every 2 years now, but we are very pleased with his expertise, his bedside manner and his communication skills.

Dr.Carson is terrible. When I went in with my daughter who is having chest pains and problems breathing he looked at me and said "My mother would calls those "growing pains"." OMG! Really?! And he also threw hit personal views on our president and health care. Regardless if you agree with the doctor they still have NO reason to be so unprofessional. He stomped around like we were a waste of his time. I regret seeing this fool.
