Dr. Depaz is an arrogant , high on his own power little man. My GF had been treated by Simed for 4 years. In the past year she has had major trouble with her back with multiple disk problems and severe pain. The prescription narcotics that they put her on kept her pain in a manageable state, pain level 3-6 on any given day. Without them it's 9-10, I know I've seen her tears. She was required to prove she was taking her pills by random drug screens , Fine we thought because we knew she was taking every last one. Until we received a letter from Simed Stating they could no longer fill her prescriptions due to a negative test.. Wrong!! She took her last pill a day before and surely should have been in her system .. I might add that she has been a nurse for the last twenty years and knows all of the proper protocol and procedures for administering a proper drug screen. None of which their lab followed.. She was given an unlabeled container sent down a corner to a hallway bathroom with three other ladies, when she returned she was told to place her UNLABELED container on a counter where the person in charge was sitting eating their lunch.. She never saw them take it .. Right before the last of her medication was about to run out and she was due for her monthly checkup / talk about the first letter, we received another letter. This one stated that she was being discharged as Dr. Pepaz's patient and that all other scheduled appointments were to be canceled.. Three days later she is in massive amounts of pain and starting to withdraw from the Narcotics they put her on, we call Simed to alert them of this condition and ask them should we just go to the Emergency room as her BP was off the charts.. The next day Dr Depaz called her and told her to come in and he would "Take care of you".. So we went together the next afternoon into a room at his clinic where we had a conversation with him about what had happened in the lab .. He would have none of that, he just stated that the rules are the rules and that his lab never messes up and that "They Hear It All The Time" told her that she would have to find another pain management clinic. Then he gave her a thirty day prescription to her pain meds while she finds another pain management clinic. REALLY??!! So you (Oscar B. Depaz) basically call her a liar to her face , accuse her of whatever you had in that Ego Driven Overinflated head of yours, just to turn around and write a script for 120 Oxy 7.5s.. As if that was all we/she wanted . No you moron she wanted to continue to be treated like a patient, like a valuable member of society, like her patients get treated by her as a Hospice Nurse . We are not done with you sir!!

Dr. De Paz was quite impersonal, and basically did not acknowledge the fact that I needed a pain medication that would help bring relief to my physical debilitation. I was not informed ahead of time that I would be told to take a drug test, and that I would not be given a pain medication equivalent to what I had previously used. I also was not informed that there was a new law in FL whereby patients lives are controlled by the state re: receiving pain medication. I had my xray results sent to my primary care physician (Dr. De Paz did not even tell me the results). I also read all the information that this Dr. entered into the SIMED data base. He made up things about me, and left out pertinent information. I felt I was treated not as a person, but as a suspected drug addict, and I am 65 years old with degenerative arthritis and a misplaced disk. I contact the office manager and requested another Dr. and was told no, that I could not have another Dr.
