Dr. Phillips has been treating me for close to 10 yrs. For my chronic pain most stemming from 2 failed back surgeries and other problems from nerve damage and RA.
He's a caring and compassionate Dr. something you don't see much in the profession today. 12 yrs ago I was told I would be in a wheelchair in 10yrs and I think because of him I'm still on my feet. The Dr. that worked on my back had told me both times how much better I was going to feel after both surgeries and I was worse both times. After 1yr he just gave up and that's when he said I would be in a wheelchair in 10 yrs or less.
Thank you so very much Dr. Mark, I don't think any other Dr. Would have went as far as you have to treat me with respect and compassion that you have given me..

I saw Dr. Phillips about 14 years ago for a pain as a result of a serious accident. I ended up getting 50 plus nerve blocks. These were basicaly injections in my head, face and neck. I was terrified!!! His kind bedside manner got me through what I thought I could never do. During the injections, his kindness, wit and humor kept me destracted and I was able to get through them without losing my mind. He also provided and/or oversaw all kinds of other therapies to try to help. While these therapies helped a little bit, it was not enough. Dr. Phillips could have just dumped me at that point but he didn't. He got me appointments with other doctors who were top notch who did other tests/treatments. While it is true he isn't the kind of doctor that prescribes narcotic pain meds., he did EVERYTHING he could to help me. Unfortunetely, I am still in a lot of pain and disabled by this injury but after seeing Dr. Phillips and all the other doctors and therapist he set me up with, I truely believe all that could be done has been done. He is very smart, kind, trustworthy and he was willing to try all could for me.

Dr. Phillips is more than just a pain management doctor. He likes to get to the root of the problem. He is very kind. However, he is not medicinal marijuana friendly even if you're just trying it once for your pain. He will abandon you in your pain and leave you to taper off of your pain medicine. I thought I should let others suffering from chronic pain know.

Excellent, courteous, thoughtful, understanding, professional staff. My first impression of Dr. Phillips was......."where have you been hiding the last several years of my life?" Dr. Phillips is awesome and extremely knowledgable. He is always patient, kind, professional, honest, and he has wonderful bedside manner. Even though I physically feel bad, I am inspired and mentally and emotionally I feel well. I have a clear understanding of my condition and how to proceed. Guilford Pain Management is awesome and my decision to change to them, from a very neglectful, uncaring medical facility, was the best decision I've ever made.

Great doctor! Very helpful and caring! Will treat your pain in several different ways, not just pills, yes that is a part not of Pain Management but it's not the only thing! I would recommend anyone to Dr.Phillips! This doctor actually cares and after seeing every neurosurgeon and orthopedic in Greensboro they all pointed me in Dr. Phillips direction!

If you agree with the type of meds he wants to force on you you will get along just fine. If not he WILL find a way to dismiss you as a patient. My advice is to go to a professional Pain Mangementclinic which does more than write prescriptions after a less than 10 minute visit.
