Biography

Mark Lane, MD, is a family medicine physician in Lampasas, Texas. When patients visit his practice, they may notice a photograph hanging on the wall of a young boy – three or four years old – proudly wearing a stethoscope. Decades later, this boy turned his dream of becoming a doctor into reality. Today, Dr. Lane is no less passionate about being the best physician he can be. Dr. Lane began his path toward becoming a doctor at West Texas State University (now Texas A&M University). He went on to complete his medical degree at Texas Tech University and received additional training during a residency at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock. As a physician of over 30 years, Dr. Lane has always worked closely with other local physicians, hospitals and community members to deliver comprehensive care. He has extensive training in obstetrics and over the years has been able to see the babies he delivered grow up. Dr. Lane now offers care for the entire family at every stage of life, from preventive health screenings to management of chronic conditions. He and his wife, Jacalyn, met in Lubbock and moved to Lampasas just a few months after being married. They are proud parents of twins, Marshall and Meredith. Dr. Lane and his family have loved being part of such a close-knit community and are involved members of the First United Methodist Church. When he isn’t caring for patients, he enjoys the hunting and fishing in the great outdoors.
