The staff is EXCEPTIONAL! They're soooo nice! The facilities are new and pleasant. So far, so good, right? That's what I thought until I met the doctor.

Dr. Al'asadi needs an attitude readjustment. He is condescending, patronizing, and pedantic. I've been on Xyrem for well over 5 years. My original doctor moved to Myrtle Beach and I was forced to find another. From the beginning, Dr. Al'asadi was rude, confrontational, and accusatory. At one point, instead of continuing with telling him about myself, I just stopped talking to see where he would lead the conversation. After a long silence, Dr. Al'asadi started talking. He didn't even ask at all about my disease until the very end. He just laid out what was going to happen next like I'm sure he has countless times.

Dr. Al'asadi wanted to start over--to do another sleep test, try out different sleep apnea treatments, and try out different narcolepsy treatments. I had already been through ALL of that before. It takes YEARS. Meanwhile, I had a treatment that been working FOR YEARS. When I communicated that, Dr. Al'asadi said that he didn't know any of the other doctors that I had been to and this was just the way it was going to work. He was the doctor. He simultaneously implied that maybe I was just another drug addict. Needless to say, I'll never go back to that man and I encourage everyone to avoid him if you have a choice.
