Biography

As a family physician, David Schriemer, MD, enjoys caring for all age groups, especially when he is able to care for several generations in the same family. When it comes to his work, Dr. Schriemer says, “Patients inspire me. I've seen wonderful acts of selfless caregiving, and I've seen great courage in the face of illness, death and grief.”Dr. Schriemer chose to become a doctor because it marries the challenges of science with directly helping people. His parents were strong influences in his life. His mother taught him to strive for excellence and his father imbued integrity and the ability to laugh at oneself.In his free time, Dr. Schriemer is a Kid’s Hope mentor and serves on the Vicksburg school board and the Vicksburg Foundation board. Additionally, he enjoys singing in his church’s choir, running, canoeing, and when he has the opportunity, snorkeling.I try to provide the best that modern medical science has to offer in an old fashioned way—with listening, caring and understanding.
