It honestly feels wrong even giving this medical facility (I use the word medical loosely) one star. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this doctor. Don't waste your time, because all Dr Lazarus and his incompetent staff will do is WASTE your time. I don't even know how this rude obnoxious person and clueless staff even have patients to assist. Forget about asking THEM ANYTHING! I once called and asked for an Alzheimer's support group they could recommend and the unprofessional office manager told me to google it. Thanks, genius! Like I couldn't think of that! After more than two weeks of trying to get forms filled out for my Alzheimer's ridden father, they said, we don't do forms, but I guess we'll have them for you on Tuesday. Then it was Thursday. Then it was Friday. And as of today, they actually called me and said "we only fill out forms on Mondays." They are idiots and more than useless. Find another neurologist.

Please whatever you do, do not see him. Find another Nuerologist. I have been seen at this office for over 10 years, only because for most of the time I can see Wallace. Each time I have "had" to see Lazurus and I call him that because he doesn't deserve to be called a Doctor. He has continually increased his mental abuse. Not to mention scheduling patients beginning at 8:00, but never arriving until well after 9:30, that in of itself negates caring for his pain patients the way he should, not to mentire pushing highly addictive drugs on you. And if you question him, he becomes irate and mentally abusive. Telling me at one point, "I hate having this conversation, I shouldn't have too" . Wallace is retiring soon, so I am finding another doctor before that happens, please don't make the mistake I have. PLEASE don't go here. I am thoroughly sorry for his staff, because they are the BEST!

Pushes pain pills on people. Rude, no idea how to treat a migraine except to force topamax and Percocet on you. I asked about side effects for topamax, and he said "none." Literally, there are about 50 horrible side effects. He has NO idea how to treat migraines. Offered no ideas other than topamax and narcotics, over the course of 5 visits.

Hello, I apologize if this isn't the correct place to send this complaint but I'm having trouble finding where I should send it. I've tried for weeks and can't get a neurologist appointment date until end of July. I think he is a Piedmont doctor but haven¿t been able to think straight for weeks so I don¿t know. Dr. Kenneth Lazurus' office is rude and even though Dr. Stuart Davis wanted me to go there ASAP they have not been helpful. They said they would get me in. I walked around with my phone on everywhere I went for 3 days. I called back wondering why they hadn't called and they told me they "called several times" and left one message. That was on a Friday at 4:00. I explained that with AT&T some times voice mail doesn't come through for days. I didn't get their voicemail until after I called them back. No other messages and no other calls from their phone shown as a "missed call¿. The office manager was rude and only wanted to "preach" to me and not listen to my issues or anything I had to say. That woman thought it was appropriate to HANG UP on me. I'm looking for a complaint phone number to call for Piedmont physicians or whatever group he is with. She was unprofessional to say the least. When I tried to explain that I¿ve had this problem for 5 weeks now, can¿t work, can¿t sleep, and can¿t focus due to the constant ringing in my ears, nausea, dizziness, some times vomiting. She wouldn¿t listen and only wanted to snicker. Very disappointing. Thanks!! Jessica Beardsell Easiest way to get in touch is by email or letter since my phone obviously has issues. Ugh!

My wife was referred to Dr. Lazarus by a family friend. We live in the North Georgia Mountains but were looking for someone who could help her with Fibromyalgia. He came highly recommended and we really did not care how far we had to drive to find someone who would help her. In the beginning he did help her. However, his staff was extremely rude and made her feel as though she was just a pain med junky looking for someone to giver her narcotics. They even made her sign a form stating that she would not seek pain killers from other doctors. I understand there are people out there that do that but don't treat everyone like the bad guy. Then we drive 2 and 1/2 hours all the way down there today and he is not even in the office. Yes we had appointment. They claim they tried to call and they say they mailed a letter none of which we received. There were no voice mails on my phone or my wife's phone. Her meds will run out in 2 days and the best they could offer was to come back in 2 weeks. No thank you. If they don't care any more than that, we are through with them.

I was referred to Dr. Lazarus by my Orthopedic Surgeon following emergency hip replacement after a fall, because the Surgeon suspected that there was a neurological problem affecting my right leg, causing weakness and muscle spasms. Dr. Lazarus not only diagnosed what turned out to be a rare, uncommon spinal injury that I had also incurred with this fall, but spent over an hour with me in the office to explain everything. He took the time to go over the MRI's with me- all of which he analyzes himself- and to show me precisely on the images of my spine where the injury had occurred. Unlike some other highly intelligent doctors (the "brainiacs") I have encountered who are at the top of their field, Dr. Lazarus actually talks to me (not AT me) during my visits and, maybe more importantly, really listens to me and all of my many questions, which he always answers. I always ask him to "tell it to me straight" and give me his honest opinion, which he of course does, but he does so with compassion and never makes me feel stupid for asking. I see him and hear him with other patients as I come and go, and he always treats everyone with the respect, kindness, and sincere caring on a personal level that, in my opinion, we could all stand to have more of from each other on a daily basis in this crazy world. As for his nurses and other staff in the office, they are all professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. If I need to leave a message, I always receive a return call as soon as humanly possible. Because my injury has required ongoing treatment, which fortunately for me has been very successful, I am familiar enough with the care provided by Dr. Lazarus and his entire office to honestly say that I would not only recommend anyone who needs to see a Neurologist to go there, but would strongly encourage them to do so.

If you have never met Dr. Lazarus you will not like him on first visit. Upon first impression you may think him to be stand-offish, pompous or even arrogant. I was reluctant to go initially because other patients had already warned me about what they perceived to be a personality disorder. I decide to comply with my referring physician who held him in very high regard. I am so glad I did . Dr.Lazarus treated me aprox. 10 yrs. for chronic post-op pain from a radical neck dissection due to tongue & throat cancer. Under his care I was able to live a fairly normal life and resume to work long enough to stay for a full retirement instead of an early disability retirement. Despite the fact that Dr. Lazarus is short on conversation, bed side manner and the warm & fuzzies. I am convinced he really does have the best interest of his patients at heart. If you want a very skilled & knowledgeable doctor, that understands his practicing art.this is your man for pain management. If you want a doctor who will joke,BS,and deliver a wonderful bedside manner with mediocre results you may want to keep looking.

I agree with the other comments here. Dr. Lazarus is unkind, doesn't tell me much, and HATES to be asked questions. My condition has gotten worse the past year or so, and he was angry that I've needed more pain relief and that I wanted to know about surgery. He yelled at me and kept telling me "I only get paid for 3 minutes" (said it 3 times) Stormed out of the room. HORRIBLE bedside manner. I am currently looking for a new doctor. Plus the wait time is now 2 or more hours, and when you are in pain, it's unbearable to sit there that long, then sit in the back room a possible 3 hour. Do not suggest this doctor at all unless you like being treated badly. The PA though is very kind and nice and is the only reason I have continued to go there this long.
