he is about upselling to his latest new income stream without the intention of making sure the protocol or platforms will work as delivered. Shocking. Shameless.

To be brief; Saw this guy was popular on the internet. I live close by so thought I'd give it a try. Very poor service. Chris is not a personable guy, unlike my doctor. Not good when your profession is to help people. As for the session itself - I can now see why this is called alternative medicine because it doesn't work. Waste of money. Fraud.

I"ve been a patient at his office for about 1 1/2 years. Having comprehensive lab tests done has been helpful. I'm currently on an antimicrobial supplement and paleo lowfod map healing protocol for mild SIBO which I tested positive for. I never would've thought to test for that had I not been a practice member. I will stay the course and finish this round of treatment and a couple other tests. So on that end, I've learned a lot. Am I any better? Not yet. I've learned a ton however from my self-care cooking at home, and so on, and also about different supplements I didn't know about.
Most of the lasting positive changes I've experience have come from lifestyle changes, acupuncture, and self-care. This is a very do-it-yourself clinic. They will run tests, give you the results, and suggest dietary and supplement support protocols. Up to you to execute it, troubleshoot issues along the way however you can, and find the nurturing support and emotional and/or spiritual support elsewhere. They won't hold your hand.

If they suggest lab tests, order them thru them *well in advance* as it can take 7-10 days to receive some of them, then you have to do them, then send them back, what for results, and you should already have an appointment planned weeks out otherwise they will be booked up and you'll be waiting months to move forward with treatment. Strategize and plan ahead to avoid undue delay and frustration. Order whatever supplements you can find on amazon or other sites yourself to save time and sometimes, money.

I've invested a lot so as I said will continue a bit longer. My main ISSUES with the office: office support can be ridiculously cold, it can take DAYS to hear back for questions regarding treatment (when you need help like within 24 hrs!!), they now charge you if your email questions to Chris or Dr. Amy are too detailed... they will charge you at will. When I voiced an issue with Shannon, the office manager recently over this policy (I believed my questions were simple as they requested but they still charged me.), she basically told me if I don't like the policy, I can go get care elsewhere. Terribly rude and inconsiderate , especially considering I've already got $2000 invested there. AND they treat you like a problem to be solved, not a human. I can't understand why, will all the complaints on different websites about his office support, why he doesn't hire people who have the bandwidth to work there and remain friendly. Its not rocket science and the way the staff treat people is uncalled for and just contributes more stress to those of us who are already not well.

I think Chris does care but he can be aloof and inaccessible too. You need to really plan ahead to schedule an appointment, weeks out. His new doctor, Dr. Amy, is no warmer. I thought working with a less busy person, and a female would be more warm and supportive, but that's not the case.

I often have felt when I have written for short-answer help around symptoms/supplement questions/etc that I am somehow inconveniencing someone massively. I've never belonged to a practice where you have to pay so much for basic questions that arise once they give you a protocol and you start it on your own. This support should be included.

I had myself convinced for quite awhile that Kresser was the only doc that can help me, but I don't believe this anymore. My plan is to finish treatment, retest, finish the couple other tests, and move on. Belonging to a practice where your voice gets silenced when you speak up in a reasonable way (as I was treated by his staff)... well it feels like empowering myself and moving on is actually more a part of my healing then feeding my gut the right prebiotic. Just saying'

In short, I think the office is a weird vortex that makes people there cold and aloof. Would be great if they could break thru that. And oh... I think there is now a $50 surcharge for any lab tests they have to order for you, so expect to pay even more out your a**.

I'd love to hear from more people who have had healing breakthroughs under care with him in the last two years and did fine with the customer service and aloofness. They must be out there somewhere?

He's the lowest rated acupuncturist in his town who gives bad advice about something he knows nothing about.

Who ever heard of a healthcare practitioner not shaking someone's hand upon meeting that person? Chris Kresser seems like he'd be better off doing research than working with people. This is the coldest health experience I've ever had, and he was no help on top of that. Money seems more important than health care to him, and everything is overpriced.

Chris is incredibly knowledgable, and I think I have made progress because of him, but I was really disappointed by his bedside manner (he's cold and not sympathetic... I felt like I was wasting his time when I spoke to him) and by the way that his office was administered. I have a chronic illness you want to feel like someone has my back, and I definitely did not experience that with him. That said, I have learned a ton from his podcasts and his general knowledge. My feeling is that he sees way too may patients and he's bitten off way more than he can chew in terms of the number of patients he's seeing.... that, and he really needs to work on his bedside manner.

First, there is a tremendous outlay of money for labs which I could have simply ordered online and paid for myself. Second, the consultations with Chris seemed more speculative than informative, like it was some kind of academic exercise based on the last article he read, and the result was always more labs being ordered. He even ordered a couple of tests twice, I think not realizing he'd just ordered that same thing. Third, I got a boatload of expensive supplements which never seemed to make any difference at all; incidentally, these could all be ordered online rather than through his office, which would save you money. Fourth, he never did nail down the problem, which I finally figurerd out myself with, surprise, a little internet research. His office staff is impatient and act as though they are busy with more important things than the concerns of a pateint. Finally, he didn't seem to remember who I was when I emailed questions.

All talk. Doesnt investigate your health like he claims he will. Does not really care about helping you. Only interested in getting your money not getting you healthy...
