Yes parking situation is not the best, But what business in Honolulu/Hawaii has that? For me this was an issue at first but once I got the hang of where parking is and got to go there a few times is now a breeze. I have been seeing DR Asato since 2012 now, And although some times I had to wait a little over my scheduled appointment in order to be seen, I did Not mind because having a Drs appointment for me means I don't have to be at work. :). Once I became pregnant (this year ) and I get to see her more often thing a have been a bit different. Staff has always been friendly and helpful but now they know my name , Doctor and staff always ask if I have questions or concerns to discuss , I have never felt disrespected or a lack of professionalism from their end and although she is very young I feel confident that she knows what she is doing. I especially appreciate not being pressured when talking about decisions such as pre pregnancy vaccines and such. Also , I was considered overweight (according to the BMI) before getting pregnant but I exercise regularly and eat healthy and all my tests are always normal so this is not a big concern for me. Once I became pregnant I was worried this would be an issue with the baby but I have not gained much weight and am now almost 5mths (20 wks) pregnant. Doctor does not seem worried and does not comment about my weight. (Which is refreshing since I cannot say the same about my PCP). Everything is going well so far and am happy with the services I receive from Dr Asato and her staff. I always get the information I need and the support necessary from her as my OBGYB. People need to be less emotional about little things and stop complaining so much. Looks at all those baby pictures by the weigh area, AND she has had no negative reports with any health board!! So that is a plus for me. ;))

I was skeptical because of the horrible reviews on yelp. But I thought, just because I doctor may not be the friendliest person, doesn't necessarily mean they are not good, knowledgeable doctors. Plus, since Hawaii's best gynecologist (according to Honolulu magazine) retired, I only had 3 choices for female gynecologists in my area. I can't confirm whether she is a good doctor or not because I never saw her. After 45 minutes of waiting, I had to leave due to another appointment (yes, I had a scheduled appointment, I was not a walk-in!). What really bothers me is the lack of professionalism. I supposed I walked out a year ago, because I got a reminder POSTCARD. First of all, I didn't even see her the first time, so how is it that I have an annual check up that I didn't even schedule?!?! Secondly, I am furious that this is a POSTCARD for all to see. I'm pretty certain this violates some kind of privacy law!!!! Lastly, from the yelp reviews, I hear Dr. Chun & Dr. Harris are no longer there. So why are their names still on the postcard, and I'm assuming photos. Yes, 8 SCANTILY CLAD women are shown on one side of the entire postcard. Call me old-fashioned, but I like my doctors to be professional and appropriate…Not cute and vain.

Horrible doctor. She knew nothing of my unique pregnancy situation and would only cause me more worry and concern over small issues that came up. She has no bedside manner and is very disrespectful. I loved both of my OB/GYN in this practice, both Tina Chun and Reina Harris and had faith that they had recommended Asato. I am sad to say they were poorly mistaken. Do not go to the doctor for what should be a very special time in your life.

This was my first visit with Dr. Asato. She was polite, friendly, considerate, listened to my questions, answered them and explained thoroughly. She made me feel comfortable and understood my concerns. I saw ratings prior and was skeptical and concerned but I'm glad I did not let them make me decide otherwise.

The receptionist Lexi, Is the meanest, rudest, most unprofessional person. it seems that she wants to pick a fight. The doctors are not much better, I have been seen by all of them and they are non caring, never on time, most disconnected doctors ever. Your heard earned money and time is not worth all this. I would take my business somewhere else, and not waste it here.

I'm 6 months pregnant and was referred to Dr. Asato by my PCP. I had light bleeding and they couldn't fit me in until the next day or for 2 weeks, so I went to the emergency room where everyone told me how wonderful she was and that I had a good doctor. I set an appointment but had to cancel a few days before because the fathers' schedule changed and he really wanted to be there. I called back to make a new appountment and the new receptionist told me they weren't accepting new patients who are due in June... my due date is in August... I'm very upset that they wont help me and are making up reasons not to. I honestly think it's becuase of my insurance and because my last name (Not my maiden name) is German. At least they could refer me to someone who might care. I'm really tired of all the racism. This is an innocent baby that needs two loving hands to catch it when it comes out... why is it so hard to find them. :(

I was rushed at ER twice & was told to see my Ob. My Ob is no longer available so I saw her instead. She is horrible! Doesn't even look at you since she is busy typing all of your answers. Very insensitive as well asked you abruptly if you have other partners even you are married. She even said who will pay for these tests when everyone asks for it. See I was asking for an ultrasound since I have pain & bleeding. FYI. I have more than one insurance. I suggest you don't see this Ob at all. She shouldn't be a doctor. No compassion!

12/27/12 - today was my first check-up at 31weeks pregnant. I am a transfer patient from a different obgyn. Accepting me at this stage of my pregnancy was already a good plus for me. When I arrived there 5minutes before my appointment, I was amazed that the receptionist was already familiar with my name. I guess the staff are really doing their job really well, and they are very polite and always smiling. I like that there are not much patients in the reception area, unlike my previous obgyn. I've seen a few patients came in, and get checked right away. I waited for a while because I had to fill up a lot of papers. When I spoke to Dr. Asato, I've learned a lot. This is my 2nd pregnancy but the information I got from her was never been told to my by my previous doctor. I consider my first check-up as excellent, it's beyond my expectation. I think I am in better hands now.

I left feeling really unhappy yet decide to come back for the 20 week check up, hoping things will go better. Now I have always been very muscular and work out on a regular basis and eat healthy. So when I get there for the 20 week check up I had gained a few more pounds than was normal like 3 more pounds than normal, she immediately start's talking about diabetes and that if my baby were to weigh 8-9 pounds i needed a c-section, and my baby would need an iv and be sick. I told her that all my 2 sisters had boys and girls weighing between 8-9 pounds and scored a perfect apgar score and they could not have been healthier. She laughed at me and told me that maybe because I am tall I could pull it off. My baby had a perfect heartbeat and was moving around a lot! I left feeling so sad and anxious wondering how I could do better when I already had a food diary and excerised everyday.
