I've been a patient of Dr Mercer for more than 5 years. Great doctor. Always has time to explain things to me. Reminds me of the doctor I went to as a kid. Kind and friendly.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mercer for about 5 or 6 years now. I went with him once Dr. Soppe (a doctor that used to share the office) started charging over $1,500 extra (in addition to insurance) for the opportunity to 'speak' with doctor after hours and to have him spend time with you for physicals, etc. Dr. Soppe did not seem to care about his patients, just the $$$. Dr. Mercer on the other had accepted me as a patient with no problems. He is kind, caring and very helpful. It does seem that when I have an appointment, it usually is about 30 or so minutes late, but I think that is due to him being available for his patients, emergencies, etc., and actually taking time with each patient and not rushed. I can not complain about the wait, as when I am sick, the do 'fit me in' that day so that the doctor can see me. He is the same with my wife and kids, a very good, caring doctor. The office staff (Laura) I have found to be kind and professional. It's nice that they are so helpful.

I had already been to two other "Clinic" doctors when my neighbor told me about Dr. Mercer. He immediately made me feel at home, and evaluated my problem like had not been done before. The results and treatment made me 100% better, and I am so thankful to Dr. Mercer. He explained why my problem had occurred, and why he needed to take the medication, and for how long. My entire family has a new doctor.

Love Dr Merser. He is so helpful and does all he can to improve my health in a timely, professional and concerned manner. His staff is another story.I was with Dr Mercer for 9 years and brought my Mother to him before me. I had to switch to another Doctor after 9 years due to his relatively new front staff, specifically laura and stacy. They are rude, unhelpful and caused weeks of delay in my treatment moving forward. When I tried to speak to Dr Mercer or a "manager" they prevented me from making him aware of what was going on.I filed a complaint through Aetna to his Medical Group. Those girls are going to cause him a lawsuit if he isn't careful.I would definately go back if they weren't there. No one needs that kind of treatment when you are paying for a service and are already feeling bad. Dr Mercer. His NP and Patricia are wonderful. Shame they don't know about the problems caused by 2 easily replaceable workers costing him $$ running off otherwise happy patients.

I had been feeling ill for a couple of months with swollen glands. I went to see Mercer and he ordered blood tests. The office took weeks to get back to me and made excuses about not being able to access the online Scripps system! I finally had to go get the test results myself. I had to call multiple times before any one would call back and when they did the nurse was very rude. Very mediocre. A good place to go if there is nothing wrong with you.

Is he burned out? They just couldn't seem to get it together. Had been sick for 6-8 weeks and swollen glands to boot. He ordered blood tests. Two weeks later they still couldn't locate them. I finally DROVE to the lab and got copies and FAXED them to the office. They still couldn't get it together to call me back. I know he knows what he is doing but he is apparently too burned out to do any follow up! I will be changing doctors shortly! I called them on a Tuesday to address this and as of Friday no one had called me back!

I made an appt. formy husband to get his annual physical with Dr. Mercer but he was only seen by the nurse practitioner. After m husband being in the office for an hour and a half she told him she couldn't do the physical exam because she doesn't examine men and that he would have to come back to see Dr. Mercer and pay for another appointment. When I complained about this mess up I was yelled at and hung up on. I called again and asked to talk to the doctor and he said he had to side with his staff and he asked me what I expected from his front desk gal since she was only 18. In the end they sent a bill to our insurance who will not cover the type of appointment they billed us for so we will have to pay it. The had no interested in trying to resolve the situation and were in fact quite rude. I would never recommend this office or doctor.

Dr. Mercer is the best. I'm always able to get an appointment and he's incredibly helpful with not only diagnosis but also filling out required Family Leave Paperwork for my absences from my job. I'm always able to make an appointment within a few days of calling.

dr. mercer is very good doctor, indeed! Best around! He really cares and does not treat you like a number. He really helped me out with my pain med needs without stigmatizing it like a select few other docs have. He is a must for someone looking for a great doctor!
