Post colonoscopy appointment was all of 3 mins long despite having two polyps removed that he stated were the type, if left any longer, could become cancerous. He was very rushed and dismissive.

Approx 4 weeks after the colonoscopy, I had an even worse experience with Dr Wong. I scheduled an emergency appointment in his private rooms (no option for public due to huge delays) due to high temp of 40.2 and bleeding of the rectum, including dark blood clots for days, diarrhea, nausea, dizziness and fever and was told by Health Direct nurse to go to emergency.

Dr Wong didn't allow me to explain what had happened, interrupting regularly, was tangential and confusing, and within a few seconds into telling him what happened, he stated it was food poisoning and most likely chicken, stated the bleeding would eventually stop and to take pre and probiotics. No one else that I was around got food poisoning so I thought that was strange and I have never had blood clots in the toilet when I have had food poisoning in the past. I was incredibly sick over four days, I'm not convinced but I have no recourse. To say he was dismissive on this occasion is an understatement, it was an awful experience.

Dr Wong was professional and courteous. From consultation to hospital admission and the colonoscopy, everything went smoothly at the Prince of Wales Hospital.

Getting a colonoscopy camera up your bum isn't the most exciting need, but Dr Wong and his staff did a great job from start to finish.

Dr Shing Wong recently operated on my ventral hernia. It went smoothly from start to finish. He is very knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had in a professional and thorough manner.
Dr Wong truely cares for the treatment and recovery of his patients. Highly recommended.

I decided to consult with Dr. Shing Wong because he was recommended by my GP. Unfortunately I felt that he was very dismissive of my problem and in a rush to get me out of his room. I was only in his consultation room for 15 minutes. He basically just told me to live with it. I walked away with no solution to my problem, $170 less in my pocket and a new haemorroid from the manual check.
