Dr Phillips treated me after my stroke. Dr Phillips took over from the emergency neurologist I initially saw, who ignored one of my TIA symptoms and sent me home, where I had a stroke. Dr Phillips was very attentive and supportive, in my experience and I would highly recommend him. More recently and long after my stroke, Dr Phillips has been involved in some leading stroke remedial surgical interventions that breakup blood clogs and accelerate stroke recovery.

Dr.Phillips treated my mother following her massive stroke at the age of 53. Her level of care under Dr. Phillips was absolutely wonderful. Sometimes it meant we as family were presented with information we did not want to hear.it was necessary for us to understand the gravity of her condition. His follow up was great and he always showed he cared. Our health care system is fortunate to have him.

NOT IMPRESS..My daughter saw Dr.Phillip today .She has had five black outs numbess to body, no control of body ,eyes rolling up and difficult with speech. At the hospital ER did CAT scan and MRI and she had a full MRI scan about 3 weeks ago showing she is losing white cell matter around the brain and has had a silent stroke. Last espoide was Tuesday and at ER they set her up to see Dr.Phillip today (June 25). Wow,I'm just shock with his disagnosis. Telling my daughter to take Tylenol for the headache and stop using the system by calling 911. As he took a phone call during there meeting. Very unprofessional and her MRI scan right in front of him showing all the problems circle in red . Thank God we have and excellent family doctors she is sending her to rule out M S. Now, how do you think my daughter feels today after having to deal with such professionalism . When it happens again and I know it will I will inform ER rule out Dr,Phillip (unbelievable).

Outstanding care and thoroughness in treating a complex combination of neurological issues in an elderly patient and going above and beyond all expectations to enable my husband to get the help he needed from other health services.

Dr Phillips has been my neurologist since I was 16 years old and transferred to him from the iwk. He has always been my favorite specialist to see since having my tia strokes when I was 13. He's very knowledgeable, has a good sense of humor and is easy to talk to. We often conversate about where he travels to on vacations, him living in the u.k. And a little friendly teasing of how Samsung is better then the I phone. All in all great doctor to deal with.

Dr Phillips treated my mother for stroke. I don't know if it was his fault or not, but nobody from neurology saw her in Emergency until after she had already been there for 4 hours - outside the critical time for treating stroke with clot-busting drugs. Her deficits are considerable and perhaps they could have been prevented if she had been seen earlier. She was an extremely active and intelligent person before the stroke.
During her stay at the QE2, Dr Phillips rarely spoke directly to my mother - didn't even make eye contact. He seemed much more concerned with teaching students on rounds than caring for his patients. Even in the Emergency, he waited for his resident to fill out the forms and carry out procedures rather than treating the situation as an emergency.
He may be quite knowledgeable, but seemed quite dismissive of his elderly patient (as if she's old and there's nothing he can do for her) and tried to discharge her at his earliest convenience even after the family had already agreed to a date.
