Had to get a prostate biopsy performed at the hospital by this doctor -- I went into septic shock the next day and spent 4 days in the ICU -- now dealing with known, long term effects of septic shock (memory loss). This guy was so unpleasant to deal with (right from the get go) that I won't (and will not) go back to him again.

Had a consultation with him last week regarding a possible renal cell carcinoma… found him to be very knowledgeable, however showed no compassion for my situation and will not return … the office staff are terrible…

One of the worst Dr I had met in my life. Extremely rude behaviour and doesn't have the patience to listen to patient. If possible, just avoid him.

I am alive today because Dr.Kwan is my urologist. Thorough knowledge, no nonsense, intelligent answers, I
had prostate cancer and never once felt the need to worry. Any patient of his is a very fortunate person. Thank-you so much, Dr. Kwan!

I looked at the comments and below - all the Karen's need to get a grip. I have had two appointments with him so far. I saw him recently as a second opinion for my issue and could not have had a better experience. I had no problems with my other urologist but simply wanted a different perspective. He was able to reassure me if my diagnosis and treatment plan. He was caring and very knowledgeable which is why I will ultimately be booking my surgery with him. His office was efficient and helpful at booking me for my tests in a timely manner. Would highly recommend!

Also for the other commenters, you aren't able to write multiple reviews good or bad on RateMD. Secondly, get a grip people - you are asking a specialist for their professional opinion. You don't have to agree and you can go back to your family doctor like I did and seek another opinion. To think that some of you are so entitled that you can tell your specialist how they should do their job is ridiculous.

Don't believe everything you read out there people!

As long as you just do what he says & don't ask any questions you will be fine.
Otherwise find another urologist.

Was sent to ther cancer center and was handled with expertise and kindness, not sure what all the below are about. will be seeing him monthly for the next while, will keep you updated. thank you
