Exact same pain pre and post root canal - they didn't seem to care too much.

Had to get a complete new endodontist.

Rating for Dr. Stanloff! You are reading these reviews to reassure yourself or for someone you know, sit back read this and you will be happy and calm or calmer knowing you’ve now found your new endodontist!
I was literally terrified to go to a new endodontist, specialist in this new city, “”especially”” for a root canal.... as it can be horrible. Anyone reading this is “probably” terrified or very concerned and searching for a good review so you can make a somewhat informed decision about going to a new root canal specialist which in this case was Dr. Staniloff. Let me try to take care of your fear(s)! He is so wonderful, a calm, brilliant, very knowledgeable doctor. He is gentle, kind, caring, extremely professional... lazor focused on your fears and needs. I can go on but I’ll stop here as I’m sure you get what I’m trying to convey. When he walked into the room, he spoke to me in with his calm and gentle and respectful demeanour and didn’t get right to the root canal problem. In retrospect he was letting me relax and get to know him a bit before starting the procedure, therefore not in a rush...which makes a terrified new patient, which was me, calm down and start to feel better, less panicked. That was very important and did help me a lot, he gets a 10/10... for that! As he started to speak my panicked and or terrified state, slowly melted away. He then asked if I was ready for him to start, another 10/10 for his very polite way. He froze me multiple times to assure I wouldn’t feel anything, I didn’t. He was taking the time necessary for me to feel comfortable and make ultra sure (trust not everyone gives their time to the patient like he does, as time = money) nothing would hurt before starting the procedure. I truly felt that he cared more about me than $$. In between the few times he froze the area, speaking about things that interested me I didn’t realize or even think of where I was and what was happening... this kind of treatment to me as a new patient was once again so wonderful, priceless and rare.
He’s like a doctor people speak about from 1950’s another era when they had morals and values and...used to care... or let’s say when caring for people wasn’t shocking, it was the norm. His chair side assistant was also extremely caring, gentle and very attentive, focused on anything I needed. In this case I needed her to suction... any fluids from the back of my throat. I had explained to her that any water or fluid in the back of my throat made me feel like I was choking or drowning. Maybe you have this fear as well, that you can’t swallow (at least I feel I can’t ) when laying on the chair. She was ready and totally focused on constantly suctioning any fluids and not making chit chat with the doctor and forgetting about me. They didn’t speak to each other very much while he was working on me, unless it was with m, to me or included me, that was intentional to distract me, as many dentists or specialists often forget that perhaps you may be panicking in your chair. For those afraid of needles, let me address that fear as if you’re in his chair, don’t worry at all as I didn’t feel the needle, not once, as in...never, on my few visits. I had no pain at all during any of the procedures. I can go on but I’ll stop here as if you had any fears I hope they are all gone. I’m writing this over month after everything is finished. Im not doing this so he will be nice to me for this commentary as I don’t think people have the need for multiple root canals. The women who help run his practice (in front ) which are the women that welcome you to his office, which are so very important to a practice. They can make you feel great or horrible. These woman were so kind, caring, polite, happy and wonderful. They were fun to speak they made me laugh to and they did their best to try to calm me down as well. They were trying to guide me, help me, give me suggestions about things, places etc...in this new city that I recently moved to. They weren’t rushed.. they didn’t just greet me and immediately ask me to take a seat which is common practice. They really seemed interested in me, and we had a few laughs, it was..dare I say...fun! Someone called to follow up the next day to ask if I was ok, I didn’t answer in the morning so she called again in the afternoon... You can go with no fear! I wish I had someone who would have written a such thorough write up so I could have slept the night before, so sleep well!
He’s a straight 10 out of 10 and really... so was everyone else who helps run his practice. Bravo!

I had a very serious abcessed tooth that was the result of a wrong diagnosis from my general dentist. After 4 months of my general dentist treating the wrong tooth, I ended up being treated at emerg. with IV antibiotics, a face so swollen that my eye was shut and excruciating pain. Enough already. I called Dr Staniloff. . Staniloff had very modern equipment and was able to identify the problem tooth right away!!🎉 He has a relaxing bedside manner and is very knowledgeable, patient and down to earth in his approach. I would recommend him to anyone. He knows his stuff.

Just the best!!! Dr.Stan is the man. He is dedicated to provide the best of care and he is a skilled professional. I break my teeth due to clenching and have had 4 root canals two by Dr Staniloff. Before coming to him the experience of a root canal was horrific and I was terrified of having to do another. Not only is he nearly painless (somehow he giggles your mouth enough to distract you from the freezing) Once that is done the rest is easy and really quick. Before you know it the procedure is over and you’re going home. I believe this is a testament to his incredible skill. He even came in on his day off to do a root canal. I was in agony and was desperate and he made the experience bearable. He took my late night call and saw me the next day, his day off. I highly recommend Dr Staniloff.

Dr. Staniloff is a fantastic endodontic dentist. From the moment that I sat in the dental chair, I was put at ease. His dental assistant is wonderful and Dr. Staniloff is the nicest and most patient oriented dentist that I have ever encountered. If you are the type of person who sweats having a root canal (who doesn't?), then he is your man. I have had root canals before and Dr. Staniloff is by far the best.
