What a big disappointment. I read amazing reviews on her and saw her for my arrhythmia. She was 2 hours late and only talked to me for 5 minutes. She said she would order some testing but it was never done. I called the office back a few months later and they stated Dr. Lavoie was busy. She does not care for her patients.

Do not be fooled!

We moved to SK from BC. MY 59 yr old husband, who has had cardiac surgery, finally got a cardiologist. He saw Dr Lavoie sept 12th at Regina GH. It is a 2 and a half hour drive for us. His appt was at 2 P.M. and he finally got to see her at 3:30 P.M.. His BP was 176/72 but everything else was good. She was going to change out his BP meds and raise his statin drugs to a more aggressive level. He made 8 phone calls to her office over the next 11 days and was told not to call the office again. The prescription still hadnt made it to our local pharmacy....as promised. September23rd he felt horrible and headed to the local hospital, thank god we still have one!!!! Rural community 2500 people...our gp left for Regina!!! His bp was 182/83. They managed to get it down and sent him home. He was to phone Dr Lavoie monday as she was not on call on the weekend. He phoned the office again, only to be told she is on holidays til oct 3rd. Cant let him see another cardiologist. He has had a high sustained bp and is now back at the hospital. Dr Lavoie and her staff do not care about the patients...that is obvious and who do I call when he has a stroke.

Dr. Lavoie was excellent. She explained everything very well pre surgery and was terrific with the post surgery follow up. Hats off to her and all of the staff that I was tended by at the Regina General Hospital! 👍🏻🤠

Referred to her for tests. Afterwards she never met with me to discuss results - just sent an intern. When she finally met with me two months later she rushed through the appointment, provided little information, did not tell me about follow-up meetings with her staff, and seemed disinterested in care. Not impressed at all!

Dr. Lavoie Is an exceptional cardiologist. She’s an excellent listener, highly knowledgeable and up-to-date in her field, and kind and compassionate. I highly recommend her.
