I went it this man for an asd assessment with my child which once we met with dr micheal I felt judged and my child already was suffering from trauma and he has made my child’s trauma 10 times worse I have never met a more unprofessional person In my life never again will I take my child to dr micheal and I highly suggest people think before seeking his advice and consult he misdiagnosed and we had to seek another opinion and finally found the right dr

If this is the same Dr Michael Welham that used to work at Coulstock St, Epping, I'd say he's absolutely useless. Mainly because when I brought up my past religious trauma, he discounted it, so yeah, if you have any sort of negative religious background, steer clear. Of course this was 15 years ago and I hope he has grown as a therapist.

We entrusted this Psychiatrist to help our daughter who was already suffering from previous trauma. He broke that trust, traumatised our child causing irreparable damage to our beautiful girl.

Observed his lack of ability to engage with my adolescent first hand. Made assumptions and comments about my son's presentation that were not appropriate in initial meeting. Managed to make mother feel guilty after each session to boot! Gave up after 3 sessions.

I would be very wary of this man if you are considering taking a young child to see him. He was very physical and inappropriately man-handled my 6yo son for a long time (despite him crying in fear and pain and hyperventilating). There was nothing warm or inviting in his character. We went there because of trauma/fears and now I'm worried this man may have caused irreparable damage. Please beware.

Certainly knows what he’s doing experienced, but can come off as abrupt initially. It’s worked out well though after a tough start.

He was highly ineffective at understanding my child's needs and far to quick to want to trial medications in my opinion. If you want to specialise in helping children then actually try to understand them instead of medicating them. I did not see him listen or make any valid attempt to bond with my child, I wouldn't recommend his services at all.

I can't speak highly enough of Michael! I've seen other doctors before, yet struggled to find that person who truly understands learning disabilities, and helps me as he has done. Thank you Michael
