Have been a patient for several years. Called with a health concern on a Friday, hoping to speak with a nurse to see what I could do over the weekend.
Was told they offer no teleahealth services over the weekend. Told to just calm down or go to the ER. I was not upset, just looking for an answer.
Horrible advice from a receptionist.

There are some vey old and 2 very nasty comments here. Let me set it straight. My mom & I are patients. I go because I like to understand Everything!Dr.Ivins tells you like it is, takes the time to explain. Not rude..just truth. He answers questions and treats me like an intelligent human being unlike a cardiologist I know who talks to me as if I were 10 and told mom if she didn’t have the heart valve replacement she needed, she was going to die a very horrible death. She’s 96. The time for heart surgery has passed. If meds are part of Dr Ivins care plan, he is the best. He studies extensively always knowledgeable about current studies and NEW treatments. He’s very personable. However, if you want sugar coated diagnoses, a doc who will indulge your ramblings and give you what you what you want rather than what you need, he may not be your man. I trust him. He’s never steered me wrong.

So I’ll give the staff another star since so far they’ve been pleasant. Having gotten back to a room after waiting a half hour, I realized the WHOLE office smells like old smoke, with some spray to try to override the smell. It’s not been 50 minutes since my appointment time and I’m siting I’m a room with a flickering light above me....and a headache from sitting in the waiting room

Dr. Ivins is an extremely rude and obnoxious. He fancies himself as a Psychiatric genius which he quite often reminds you. It seems to me he has esteem issues and is very insecure. He also gives me the impression that he tries very hard to impart on you that he's more of what he wants to be then he actually is. He will explode if you do not agree with him. One of his retorts is that he does many speaking engagements and is an expert on every type of medication. A simple Google search shows no mention of any speaking events, or even recognition by his peers for his self-proclaimed "expertise". He is not even a certified Psychiatrist. Also looking at his educational background, he graduated from some obscure university in Italy. His office facilities are not impressive. His cliental seem to be more of a lower socioeconomic status with substance abuse issues (I don't mean this to offensive to the patients). I would highly recommend that you avoid this man.

Very knowledgeable & seems to truly care about the well-being of people...which one would think that should be obvious given the career choice, but it's rather hard to find in healthcare professionals these days... Extremely passionate about proper treatment of patients. Very happy to have begun seeing him just a few months ago. :)

This guy is a ****in quack. He gave my parents any pain medicine that they wanted and helped with killing both of them. Instead of helping to get them off of it, he just kept prescribing anything they asked for.. He should have his med license taken away
