This man diagnosed me with three disorders and brought back a bunch of old traumatic experiences. Turns out one of the disorders he diagnosed me with hasn’t existed since 1994 although he didn’t put that one in my record. The diagnosis of depression was wrong and the diagnosis of adhd is questionable. I hope this guy starts to get paid much less by the government because he sure doesn't deserve the money he is getting paid now. get bent doctor Jain!

"Dr" Jain as he calls himself, has to be the most selfish, rudest, dismissive and careless child psychiatrist I have ever met in my life! Both of my kids had to deal with him,I had told him few choice words in past,...He also is the one on call at hospital in Sault at the moment and after having to get a form 2 for my child's safety and well being, was brought to hospital by police only to be told it was I,overreacting and nothing wrong with my child!!This is after trying all we could to get child help, child is suicidal, unstable, lashes out, self harming and harming others, losing 60 lbs, bruised all over due to weakness and falling everywhere, not eating, always in pain, lashing out only to be told by him that there is nothing wrong with child!!No blood work, nothing!!!!Well Dr Jain,if and when something happens to my child,or she takes her life for good next time because you failed to get her proper help,You are the one that will be taking the wrap for that! You didn't even bother asking what was wrong or anything!!! You should be ashamed of yourself and should not have the right to practice or title of a doctor cause last thing you do is care for your patient!!It's not a bootcamp that you want to send my child to that will help,it's real medical help, the one you refuse to provide!!I can't believe he has the right to practice

I met with Dr J several times. Professional, knowledgeable, sense of humour. Not a Dr who can be pushed around for the diagnosis you want. I would highly recommend.

Dr. Umesh Jain has been the consistency in my child’s care over the past year. He answers my concerns, follows up regularly with us, and discusses ongoing treatment plans and medication adjustments. When my child was in a very dark place, the medication he prescribed worked to give her a break from suicidal thoughts; she was able to then take some positive steps. As she showed progress he reduced the medications and worked to address specific areas of concern (i.e. sleep issue, therapy needs). He has always made it clear that the medication is one tool in her treatment and that it is not a cure. He has involved the school, family services for counselling, and other health professionals in the treatment plan. This has enabled us to get supports that we have been on a waiting list for well over a year for. My child has been given access to all the tools that have the potential to help – for this I am very grateful.

Horrible doctor. He’s a psychiatrist but doesn’t take mental illness seriously. He threatens jail or foster care if you don’t listen to your parents. He puts you on many medications for issues you do not have and with overly high dosages. He does not care about preventing suicide, clearly. He should lose his medical license.

Doesn’t make anytime for his patients and is very rude and makes threats of putting a patient in a group home/foster care if they don’t stop self harming and stressing out their parent, he overmedicates his patients and doesn’t get to the root of the problem instead his solution is pills and just assumes what your feeling and why you do things

This Dr. Is more about experimenting with and over medicating children then he with getting to root of the issues. This Dr. Has given a 12/13 yr old child a cocktail of Narcotics, antipsycotics, antidepressants causing severe sedation, aggression, inability to concentrate and many more negative affects. He doesn't take the proper time to listen to family concerns and converse before adding to the cocktail of medications leading to further complications and side affects. He is causing more damage than he is doing good and is often questioned by pharmacist as to his choice of adult medications for young children.
Stay as far away from this Dr as possible and always, always ask for a second opinion. Shame on you Dr. Jain!

I spoke with this doctor as he was overseeing a crisis line at the time. He was rude, and spent the entire call picking on me. To quote him, I apprently "am a reject and feel all alone." He has no right to practice psychiatry.
