My daughter insisted that I get tested for Alzheimer's Disease because I was getting forgetful. I'm 61 and my brain doesn't file every little detail away from day to day. Dr. Goffinet thinks that AD is caused by brain injury, which it can be. But My ex never hit me in my head and NO ONE ON BOTH SIDES OF MY FAMILY DON'T HAVE EARLY-ONSET AD. My great-aunt on my dad's side had AD when she was in her 90s. She never married so her genes stopped there. I was ready to commit suicide when he told me that. I got a ct scan with and without contrast and there is no sign of AD. I plan on going to see a neurologist next month for more testing. AD at my age is genetic. Dr. Goffinet seems convinced that EVERYONE will have it in the 90s. That's weird, I worked as a nurse aide for ten years and took care of plenty of people that were in their late 90s and 100s, they were sharp as a tack.

Struggled with ADHD my entire life! He dismissed it as depression. 2 years after his diagnoses I continued to struggle terribly my job, my home, and life in general. Got another evaluation and bam finally got diagnosed with what everybody else but him knew. If you have tragedies that have happened in your life he will immediately dismiss it as depression. Even it they’ve happened 20 years ago. He seems to think that people who have had crappy lives also can’t have mental health issues as well. He instead loads you up on horrible depression meds and makes your life worse. He makes you feel like an idiot for even being evaluated. I also never received my results in the mail from his evaluation. They were supposed to be mailed. Never received. Horrible experience.

Dr. Goffinet was rude. He did not provide test results. Unprofessional! No staff to return calls regarding insurance questions. Aweful experience!
