I notice all of the reviews on here are negative going back years. After my experience today I can understand why. The staff is extremely rude and incompetent and don't even own up to their incompetence. I have never been treated as rudely as I was by this office. They messed up multiple things with my appointments and medical information and had the gall to treat me as a bother and as the problem. Everyone from the office manager to the case load manager were rude and had no interest in helping with my medical problem. I will definitely leave reviews every place I can find to avoid this place and go somewhere where you are treated in a welcoming manner, not with rudeness and incompetence.

I had switched my husband and i's primary care over to him October of last year since he was part of a medical group we liked and was located close to him along with later appointment hours. Now we are regretting it since it takes forever to get referrals with no phone call from them stating they are ready. Due to their mistake of them not getting my referral ready I am having to appeal denials from my insurance company for one of my doctors. At my husband's last visit Dr. Davison acted like he really didn't care and didn't much of anything to help my husband's issues at all. There were a couple of times I didn't get a call the next day about what my dosage of coumadin should be after having my PT/INR checked early that morning before he even came in at 9 a.m. which is totally unacceptable. I already have my husband set up with a new primary doc hopefully and now I have to figure out mine ASAP.

his staff is nasty they will not go the extra distance for you like to fax information to another doctor and they take a long time to return your call. I have mentioned a problem i was having and he dismissed it to another problem I had in the past without checking.I went to another Dr and now i am being treated. He has lefted me feeling i am a bother to him. I have not been to office appointment since and currently looking for another doctor.

I agree with the other comments about the office staff they make you feel like they are doing you a favor for allowing you to be in their office. They are the most unfriendly staff and have nasty attitutes. On top of that is the long, long wait (up to 2 hours in the waiting room and 1/2 hour in the examining room) so by the time you see the Doctor your blood presure is sky rocketing and your stress level is over the top. The additional insult is if you are 15 min. late for your apointment even if you call ahead to let them know you are in DC traffic you will not be seen and have to make an apointment for another time. My feelings are different about Dr. Davison he has always had patience, knowledgeable, answers all my questions and makes me feel very comfortable. I think if they correct the situation with their office staff the patients will be relaxed when they reach the Doctors office. I have been Dr. Davison's patient since he first went into practice.

I agree with the other ratings. Dr. Davidson is very impersonal nor do I feel he is listening to what I am saying to him. I too am in the process of finding another physician.

I find Dr. Davison uncommunicative & distant & frequently dismissive of what I told him about personal symptoms. His practice, Maryland Health Care Associates, is so huge that no one really knows anything or cares - and his billing department is in Georgia! Staff frequently do not answer the phone, or the phone is constantly busy. His personal staff virtually never answers their phones, and when messages are left with them, no one returns calls. He owns racehorses, & I truly believe that he is often thinking more of them than of his patients. The practice waiting room is sterile & impersonal, & the furniture is even stained & noticeably worn. I was a patient at MHCA for less than 2 years, & I have left it & found myself a real doctor who actually cares, listens, & keeps me informed of what he's doing. MHCA is the worst kind of practice to be involved in - avoid every doctor at this address. Find a good one-doctor practice.

I highly advise anyone thinking of utilizing “Maryland Health Care Associates” to look elsewhere. I’m fortunate enough to be in good health and I’ve only been to see Dr. Davison around 3-4 times. My insurance (Aetna HMO) requires that I see my Primary Care Physician for referrals so each time I need medical help I see him first. Each time that I’ve been there I get the same experience… extremely long wait times, rushed diagnoses, and sort of “assembly line” feel. I think that this office has accepted way too many patients and the service suffers from it. On multiple occasions I’ve attempted to reach someone over the phone and the complicated answering service never connects me to a live person. I’ve also left messages and did not get a response until the next day. I think this office lacks basic customer service and will be looking elsewhere for medical help in Waldorf.

To begin, every time I go in for an appointment (morning or evening), the wait time is 1-2 hours. Then when I finally do see the doctor, he does not listen nor take the time to ask questions to try and find out what is going on. He seems to rush to a diagnosis then sends you on your way. I am a pleasant and intelligent person (even after a 2 hour wait) and he always make me feel like what I say does not matter because I could not possibly know what is going on with me. Fortunately, I have no major medical issues so I cannot judge how he handles those with chronic problems but after my experiences I would not want to find out. I'm in the process of finding a new internist.

This doctor is one I would stay away from. His bed side manners needs to be checked. His personailty needs work and his desire to be of assistance lacks. I felt like I was inconveniencing him. I had just retired from the military and use to upbeat physicians really trying to help. With this guy, as stated, I felt as if he was doing me a favor instead of my doing him one for his services. All I wanted was an annual physical and he just didn't get it. I am quite for sure he is a great person to his family, but to me, he needs to work on a lot of things as it pertains to his character, personality and willingness to help other as they seek him out. I don't know if he is good at what he does. One more thing! Slow! The wait in this office, I could not handle. I am paying this office and irregardless of their booking problems, you give me an appointment for 10 am, that is what I expect. They expect to be paid promptly! I expect to be seen promptly.
