I would recommend are Zehngebot to anyone diagnosed with cancer. He saved me from having to get open heart surgery on the first day I met him. I never have to wait more than 15 minutes. His staff know what the are doing. One of these reviews said he doesn't take time with patients - that is not true, he's just moving fast bc he has a lot of people to take care of. If you have a concern or something to talk to him about, write it down or say it right away; he won't know he missed anything if you don't speak up. In my 9 years with his office I had one negative experience with a nurse. I didn't say anything about it but someone else saw it. That nurse was reprimanded and I never saw her again. My friends who are nurses know he means business and they are quick to follow through on his instructions. I <3 Z!

I would not have a husband to celebrate our upcoming 50th anniversary were it not for this amazing doctor. "Z" is the absolute best. If you need something, he will fight for you to get it!

My daughter was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma when she was 3 months pregnant. The first oncologist told she would have terminate the pregnancy.. She then found Dr Z He oversaw her treatment and was there after she delivered her perfect baby girl. That baby is 10 years old and my daughter still goes once a year for her checkup with Dr Z even though he says she is cancer free and doesn't need to. He Says if it makes her feel better he wants her to continue with check ups. I went with her many times and was very impressed with Dr Z.

If it had been left to Dr. Z and his associate Dr Capone, my wife would be dead. When this doctor's associate, Dr. Capone told me that my wife was going to die from from uncontrollable bleeding (ITP) I asked for a second opinion and got Dr. Z. His plan was to continue trying for a while the same treatments that failed to stop the bleeding, then have surgeon take out her spleen, which he said would probably kill her outright. If it wasn't for a visiting medical student who recommended they take another look at the bone marrow biopsy results to see if the cause was an attack of her macrophages on her blood platelets, my wife would have died. It wasn't the spleen, it was Macrophage Activation Syndrome. If you're reading this Dr.s, LOOK FOR ANOTHER DIAGNOSIS IF THE TREATMENT DOESN'T WORK. If a medical student could figure this out Dr. Z and Capone could have, too.

I have been treated by Dr. Z since 1990 both as an oncoligist and a hematoligist. From the very first visit to present date, he has demostrated a caring and compassionate attitude toward my care. He can be straight forward but if asked specific questions, he will sit down for however long it takes to answer my questions. He has always been concerned and follows up with the needed tests for any new developments in my yearly tests. He personally calls me after office hours to see how I am doing. My neighbor selected him when he had pancreatic cancer and was pleasantly surprised when Dr. Z called him to see how he was doing. Not just once, but many times over a period of three months. He treated me for breast cancer for ten years before dismissing me cancer free. He has been treating me since 2005 for Factor V (mutant V molecule)which is a blood disorder. I highly recommend him and his staff. He is the best.

DR. Z as he is known to his patients, is highly knowledgable with any thing to do with cancer. He is strong-willed when it comes to his patients treatments, which makes him the type of doctor you need with such a serious disease . I was in the hospital for 6 weeks and he saw me everyday and made sure I was comfortable and all my needs were met by the hospital staff. I highly recomend DR.Z to anyone who needs his services.

Dr. Z is a brilliant, kind and caring Oncologist. He cares about his patients and their families. I feel so lucky to have him as my Dr. He listened, offered options, and helped guide me through my decisions for treatment. He made sure my husband was comfortable with everything as well. He treats his staff with respect, at the same time demanding they give 100% at all times. If you are looking for a Dr. to treat your cancer, I would highly recommend him!

I owe Dr. Zehngebot my life... I spent a lot of time with Dr. Z over the last year and feel that having him as my doctor was really a gift from God. He answered all my questions about my situation, provided numerous treatments options, and supported me throughout my treatment. He is compassionate, but firm about his medical decisions. He pushed me through my treatment even on days when I was stalling, or delaying, which was in my best interest. In my opinion he is perfect Oncologist, and the best doctor I have ever seen in my life.
