I have been a patient of Dr. Chapin for several years. Over the years I have found him to be very through, attentive, quick to return phone calls; never dismissed my questions.
My wife is a retired nurse and had patients that saw him and found him to be an excellent doctor. She's the person that encouraged me to see him. What I like best about Dr. Chapin is that he doesn't "sugar coat" things. He makes you aware that you have to take responsibility for your health. I have recommended several people to his office.

Most rude doctor ever. He is not about providing care to patients. I had the worse experience seeing this man it was awful! Not to mention he rushes and doesn’t listen to your concerns. I see this man still hides in Laconia NH because he won't make it in the big city the way he treats his patients.

My experience with him was awful! He is rude and very dismissive. The minute he opened the door the first thing he said after looking at my chart was "I don't want to hear anything about any of your other problems just the diabetes because I'm on heart meds. I hadn't said anything to him at that point and certainly wouldn't talk to him about my heart. And will never see him again!
His patients should be treated with respect. I
have had alot of doctors in my life but never one so rude and condescending!

My doctor sent me to Dr. Chapin to get my diabetes under better control. His staff was nice and he saw me ahead of my scheduled appointment. After finding out about me and an examination he presented the options improve my diabetes. He made it clear that I had to do my part, and let me decide which of the available medications I wanted to try first. I like his style and smile. He is the best.

I have been having thyroid issues for some time now and was previously diagnosed with hypothyroidism. He was very dismissive of my symptoms and both visits were about five minutes long. All he did was check my TSH both times and put me on thyroid medication for a couple of months. I still had horrible symptoms. After my second visit, he called to tell me that the change in TSH was minimal and he didn't know what was causing my symptoms and told me that I'm "on my own". Very, very disappointed in how I was treated. He refused to do any more tests which might at least give me an idea of what is making me feel so sick. I wish I never wasted any money on this guy - I could have found a random person on the street and they would have been more qualified.

Rude, dismissive. condescending . Didn't want to answer any of my questions. I felt very worried about being under his care . I am not easily rattled but was in tears when I left. It seems it is all about the business and not about human compassion .... not a caring word .......Your job is to not only take care of the patients medical needs but to give them some degree of comfort. He is definitely in the wrong profession.

Very disappointed in Dr Chapin as he would not listen or give the indication of caring. It's all about the business and he even refused to write a scrip for Ibuprofren as it is not a diabetes medication and he would be overstepping his bounds. Condensending and dismissive are the theme with this Dr. It's a shame he is the only Diabetes specialist in the lakes region and refuses to act as a Internest as it would be beneath him. Time to drive to Concord but at lest it will be worth it for quality care. You Dr Chapin are fired!

I have been dealing with multiple illnesses for 6 years now. I was sent to Dr. Chapin to hopefully make some sense of all my symptoms. After review of all my symptoms, he informed me that I am normal and that my issue is that I am more AWARE of my symptoms. That other people are experiencing what I experience, but they don't notice them. If other's don't notice that they've had a fever for 2 years, chronic diarrhea, bloating and nausea every day, a fluttery resting heartrate of over 100, gaining weight and barely eating, tingling hands and feet, a rash on the top half of body, among other things....then I'm guessing there's something severely wrong with them. I was very disappointed with this physician.
