Dr. Mackender has a great patient centered approach and values the things patients often find an exception rather than the rule. For example, she takes her time to listen and fully explain treatment options while including patients in the over all decision. She explains complicated medical jargon very well and enabled me to conclude my appointment fully satisfied and motivated to engage fully in the plans. She made me feel hopeful after twisting miserably in the wind far to long, concerned and discouraged. Her comprehensive approach to patient ideal outcomes are rational and communicated to me with respect and just the right amount of care and concern. This has reawakened my hopefulness and willingness to patiently move forward with a reasonable and sensible plan. Even another plan should this one not work as well as it sounded reasonable has enabled my spirit of determination and patience return. The affects of clinical depression is devastating and agonizing especially post covid infections. She is assuring but realistic all the while will admit the limitations as to those who unfortunately are suffering post covid depression, brain fog and other problems unexpected since hysterical news has moved on to other propagandists ways that dehumanizes people for ratings it seems. All the while many people are still having difficulties regardless of vaccination status’s. Over lapping other complexities many people silently suffer from she does everything but make you feel objectified and put through an algorithm which could not possibly been created because of the reality of proclaimed experts is by far, not what is made to appear. She is well organized, on time and responsive when her time is needed for the pharmacies not yet approved by the DEA to have enough stock they know in advanced would not treat people properly who require medication to function normally and are truly and properly diagnosed with conditions which are neurological and true disease when not treated causes and or worsens other health problems that eventually affect us all in some way. She is a thorough treating MD and does not hand out scripts nor enables her duties become trampled on for zealous people misusing, over using or diverting stimulant class 2 medications. Sadly the ones’ who do are worsening the system and there are too many unscrupulous diagnostic physicians of ADD/ ADHD or any spectrum afflictions churning the system in a way that does not make people smarter nor any wiser but it does what it does best… Make hard work, truth and true respect become a rare event while marginalized patients appreciate having ethical and engaging doctors who hold their oath seriously .. ‘ to do no harm.’. I would recommend this Dr for many traits that is a breath of fresh air knowing there are still some who truly become MDs for the right reasons! I certainly appreciate this Dr and her peers in health and medical practice which is trustworthy and humane.

She was very friendly and down to earth. She was very thorough and took her time which is difficult to find. I have had nothing but a positive experience from her, and she also is very clear on explaining pros and cons of treatment options and different game plans as far as changing something thats not working.

Dr. Mackender is very compassionate and always on time. She helped me find the right medications for me after years of seeing other doctors and feeling extremely depressed and anxious.
