Work done a year ago is falling apart and the operations director is disrespectful and does not have the time or day for my husband and I. They were great initially, but the billing practices were odd. My hometown dentist looked at his work and all are failing

I called Dr. Haynes' office to schedule an appointment for 5 fillings. The receptionist told me I would need to talk to the office manager Melissa to pay for the appointment ahead of time. I had made payment arrangements with Melissa prior to leaving my first appointment with Dr. Haynes. The receptionist got back on the phone and told me Melissa was too busy to talk to me, but Melissa told the receptionist to make the appointment. The receptionist told me I would need to pay ahead for 6 fillings, not 5. I explained to her that she must be mistaken because Dr. Haynes told me I had 5 cavities that needed filling and showed me the pictures of each of the 5 fillings. The receptionist kept insisting that I needed 6 fillings. I asked that Dr. Haynes return my call. I was told that Dr. Haynes was too busy to return my call. I insisted that Dr. Haynes return my call since he was the one who told me I had 5 cavities, not 6. The receptionist said "Fine!" and ended the phone call. I received a call back from Cecilia, who insisted that I had 6 cavities to be filled, not 5. To add insult to injury, she started yelling at me and interrupting me and told me that I needed to make an appointment to come back to their office again to confirm if I needed to have 5 or 6 cavities filled. I told her my schedule would not allow a second visit and again requested that Dr. Haynes return my call. In a very rude tone of voice, Cecilia told me that Dr. Haynes was too busy to return my call and insisted that I come back for another appointment to confirm if I needed 5 or 6 cavities filled. I got off the phone feeling completely astounded that I had been told one thing when I left the office, and another thing when I called to make my appointment to have my cavities filled. I was even more astounded to be told that Dr. Haynes was too busy to ever call me back and that the only solution was for me to make an appointment and come back to his office. In summary, the office staff is extremely unprofessional (abrupt, rude, inconsiderate) that I would never go back to this office. Instead of apologizing for the inaccuracy of their records, their attitude was snobby, insulting, and completely unhelpful.

I like the fact that the office shows everything about my teeth on the TVs on the ceiling. They even have this cool camera which highlights cavities that I can see. It is scary, but I am glad I learned of possible issues. The staff was really knowledgeable, patient, and caring. My treatment did consist of fillings and home fluoride to treat the some of the stains that were not cavities. I do have insurance and told me what they estimate them to pay. I did have to pay cash. Dentistry is not cheap, but they gave me multiple options to pay for my treatment. I recommend this modern practice. Plus Dr. Haynes is so gentle.

In my personal experience Dr. Haynes has been the best dentist I have been in care of since I moved to Charlotte, NC. Due to previous bad experiences at other dentist offices,I withheld my 6 months preventive care because I felt as though it was a waste of my time taking off of work. Dr. Haynes and his staff were very professional, and I would recommend anyone to go there. I think I have found my new primary dentist in Charlotte, NC.

I went to see "Dr." Haynes because one of my teeth was bothering me. I only went there to get some feedback on what I should do because I was just at another dentist 3 months before that, so I didn't need a cleaning or x-rays. So instead of fixing the tooth that was bothering me, he tells me that I have to get 4 extractions(I only have 3 wisdom teeth, so where was the 4th tooth?!!)and that I have to get 6 fillings replaced. I don't have insurance, so all this work was going to cost me $2,000 to fix. They pushed this deal on me that cost me $227.00, and all they did at my visit was take xrays(which I didn't need) and poke my teeth. So, I went to see my dentist in my hometown to get a second opinion. My dentist pulled my tooth that was bothering me in a matter of 5 minutes, only charging me $65.00, and also assured me that I did not have any other issues with my teeth. This dentist is a con artist! DO NOT go to this dentist unless you want to be ripped off!!

"Dr" Haynes tried to perform unneeded and unnecessary work on me and charge me nearly $2000 - which happens to be the insurance max! After a second opinion I was relieved to know I needed NO work fond at all! On top of it all he tried to charge me for the work that I never went through with! Stay away from this dentist!
