Dr. Bernaba was my primary care doctor. Originally I thought she was good. Early in January I came down with Covid. On a Monday, She double ordered my Covid test which automatically canceled review of my sample. I had been emailing her my symptoms during the week. By Friday I still had no results. A patient liaison from Sharp called me and told me the error my doctor made. I had to go in and get another test done and didn’t have the results until the next day. At this point I had fever and chills for a week. Dr. Bernaba’s emails to me were basically I should wait it out. She didn’t ask me about my symptoms or their severity. The following Tuesday I was hospitalized at Sharp Hospital for 6 days with Covid and pneumonia because I couldn’t breathe. Dr. Bernaba boasts compassion on the Sharp Doctor’s website. She took no responsibility for her error and showed zero compassion . If this is how a doctor treats you in the middle of a pandemic than I can’t imagine her service would improve in any other situation.
