Dr. Loochtan was my dentist as a child, and even as a little one, I knew that something wasn't right about the way he did things. Dr. Loochtan has hands down the worst attitude of any healthcare professional my family has been to. Very condescending to me, my parents, and my siblings. He lectured my college-educated parents on the state of our dental health like they were 3-year olds. He was very adamant about keeping my parents separate from me during my treatments, no matter the circumstance or how much I wanted their support. He would lie to me and my siblings about our treatments and harshly berated my parents for what he perceived as deliberate neglect of our dental health, despite them being strict about brushing, flossing, and eating right. Only good memory was the video games in the kid waiting area, which were great to get your kid's mind off the argument he/she knows you will have with this walking definition of a "God-complex." Parents, please take your business elsewhere. There is another practice DIRECTLY ACROSS THE STREET run by Dr. Faith Madden that puts this one to shame and has improved the dental health of me and my siblings tremendously, without any of the judgement or arrogance you will see from Dr. Loochtan. I am amazed that this guy is even still in business, given how quickly word-of-mouth spreads in Pickerington. Take it from a kid now 20-something who remembers seeing his Mom and Pop walk out of this guy's office angrier than he had ever seen and ashamed to have even given this guy a single penny.
-P.S. Don't play the "It's his parents feeding him this" card. I'm pretty sure I can remember a dentist who mistreated my family pretty clearly.
