I found him insightful. He was friendly and asked questions in a way that other psychiatrists have not asked me. He seemed genuinely interested in my childhood, symptoms beyond what brought me to the hospital.

He was patient and pragmatic in his approach to my problems. I always questioned why I struggled with relationships and maintaining friends. I was previously diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, but with time and discussion with my mother Dr. Tjaden suggested the possibility of Aspergers. He directed me to additional assessment with a psychologist and therapy . I feel like I finally starting to understand myself.

This guy saw me for 10 minutes and grossly misdiagnosed me. I just went through 3 deaths in my family and was hurt and angry.he said to me " I'm just going to say this..you're odd. You seem really odd...are you autistic? Did you have friends growing up? Do you have any friends now?" Gee thanks. I went back to my room and bawled. He shouldn't be a psychiatrist.
