Dr. Cook and staff made the entire experience very easy. While I only visited a few times they always greeted me as if I was a long term patient. Would absolutely recommend ACT for anyone who has an option for care.

A brief background. My name is Greg Thoman . I reside at Jamestown Kansas. Seventeen years ago I was diagnosed with prostate cancer . I elected to have it surgically removed. I had zero PSA for over 15 years, in the 16th year it jumped to over 3. My family physician suggested that I see a urologist asp. Under his care I was given a Lubron injection to last six months. A good friend of mine in the medical profession suggested a second opinion. I contacted Dr. Richardson , who order a pet scan then gave me several options. The option that I chose was to contact Dr. Cooke and undergo radiation.
Dr. Cooke looked at all my purtnate information, did a mapping, and order 34 treatments. Gave me an outline of what to eat , drink and what to expect . On the first day I walked into the Advance Cancer Center, I was greeted with big smiles and called by my name as if I were family. For the next 34 days it was the same. After being greeted every morning it was off to the Cowboy room. The cowboy room is where you can change into to the proper attire for the radiation treatment . A cooler with bottled water if needed was there. Cowboy room was a great place to compare notes with other cancer victims . If I could change one thing about my experience it would be to have a place where one could exchange experience with other patience( once a week we could all meet , have a room with coffee and doughnuts ) . ie bladder fullness, gas bubbles, ect ect. Then it was off to the radiation treatment where you were met with the utmost professional manner. Once a week after your radiation I had a consultation with Dr. Cooke where all my questions were answered and was informed as to what I could expect for side effects. A computer imaging was always a topic of interest. On the lighter side Dr. Cooke is a miracle worker. After 34 treatments she informed me that within 40 to 60 days I would be back to normal. I am really looking forward to that. I have never been considered normal in my entire 70 years here on earth .

Dr. Cooke brings knowledge, kindness, humor & most importantly great care to her patients, as she creates a radiation treatment plan & walks with you through the process. Many thanks for her great skill-set, fabulous bedside presence & I could see "the wheels turning" when she was asked a question & her response was well thought out.
Dr. Cooke also works with Julia, Amanda, Michelle, Bre, Abby, Paige, Cathi, Crystal, Kellie & Erick, all truly amazing & genuine people committed to making my outcome positive. Thanks to all of you for your attention to detail, making me laugh & most importantly, extending my life. Cancer sucks, these folks made it tolerable! I would highly recommend Dr. Cooke, her colleagues & ACT.
