Extremely rude and combative. Dismissed complaints that allowed an underlying condition to progress untreated.

Rude, Lacks empathy & undermines patients knowledge or perhaps she lacks the knowledge herself. Saw her for a routine check up and immediately noticed how uninterested she was to my concerns and lacked the knowledge on issues my other previous doctors had on my concerns/conditions, What a waste of my time but at least now I know not to ever see her in future! I generally don't like to give bad reviews but I'm doing this so that if she reads this she works hard to improve. Improve attitude, empathy, and medical knowledge before it's too late. Take these reviews(bad) ones constructively. In the meantime definitely not going back to her ever again!

First of all I was sent to her after ER Dr.s found blood in my urine. After 2 Ct scans and such they found no Kinney stones, no ovarian cysts or any infections. My regular physician puzzled, send me to Shauna. She had no ideas, googled symptoms in front of me, asked if I had a hunch. Then said she'd like me to see urology. I would hear back about my specialist referral appointment shortly she said. I get no call- 4 days later I call and she's had them make am appointment with a gynecologist. Why!!?? I go back to my regular phys. and tell her she recommended i see gyno...to which my Dr immediately sets up an appointment with urology for me. She is very unknowledgeable, nice enough i guess but I'm not there for that. I want a Dr who knows what to do not kiss my butt. Skip seeing her, you will not regret missing out on her opinion.

The staff, especially the nurses to the doctors, are not all thet friendly, and a bit cold. I can live with that....I don't give a rat's behind about the "meet and greet" gals. As for Shauna, she may be building up knowledge and just strating off in a way, but in no way did I ever find her rude or condesending. That's craszy talk. Maybe the complaints are coming from people that are nasty and rude themselves? Maybe she had a hard time communicating with some of you. Maybe that was you, not her? I'm guessing that's the case. I tossed out my old doctor and went with Shauna becasue of her gentleness, kindness, senistivity and her awareness of my issues which NO OTHER DOCTOR jumped on. SHE is the one who pushed me into a test (thank Christ) that I am so happy I scheduled. SHE is the one who showed senstivity towards another issue I was dealing with. SHE is the one who made me feel important. I sincerly hope she does not leave this office. And if you think I am some family memebr or friend jumping to her defense....pull your head out and breath deep. Actually, she would probably tell you the same thing.

I believe so also, with her lack of experience, she makes recommendations for tests to run up the bill! Also med changes just for the sake of change$. Confrontational: Yes! Rude:Yes! Condesending:Yes! Ask for someone else. St. Francis Hospital, Shakopee, MN 07-20-2014

If you get assigned Dr. Basener in the hospital you will rarely see her and when you do, she will be condescending and confrontational. Probably insecure due to her lack of experience. Ask for someone else.
