I was referred to Dr. Sloan when my routine PAP test results showed that I had HPV 11 and 13, which are not the worst HPV strains to have, but require followup. Dr. Sloan is an expert in cervical disorders and procedure. Like many Harvard Vanguard doctors who have cared (and I do mean "cared") for me, she is friendly, explains procedures/reasons for them/what to expect in terms of discomfort and offers reassurance. She called me by phone to tell me the results of my test, and when it needed to be repeated, she insisted that my co-payment be refunded. I am 63 years old and moved/changed jobs a number of times, so I have had many gynecologists. I consider Dr. Sloan to be an ideal gynecologist. Every member of her staff, from the appointment check-out people to the nurses and medical assistants, are outstanding.
