Dr Summers was great. He was empathetic, knowledgeable, and patiently walked me through the decision process to choose between partial and total knee replacement surgery, based on the results of my MRI.

He then performed the surgery in June 2022. I am now 6-weeks post surgery and my knee is almost back to normal. And it feels great! Best surgeon I have ever had.

There is no doubt that summers works for insurers and says what they want him to say to the point of malpractice . you may get better treatment if you are not an insurers patient

Dr. Summers is very RUDE, disrespectful, arrogant and has a terrible bedside manner! He told us what he THOUGHT was wrong with daughter’s knee. He refused to order an MRI until I got angry. He seemed more concerned that I was questioning his opinion. Of course the issue was worse than he THOUGHT. I would not recommend him to anyone!

After a less than helpful experience with another orthopedic surgeon, I tried Dr. Summers. He knew immediately what my knee problem was, and an MRI confirmed it. I was quickly scheduled for arthroscopic surgery for a bad meniscus tear. That was two months ago. Even though I’m 71, I have healed quickly. Because my previous doctor had sent me for several weeks of physical therapy (useless at the time and which possibly made the tear worse), I knew how to get my knee working well again. I’m very happy I had the surgery. My knee hasn’t felt this good in a long time.

I tore my meniscus in 7/17. His overall attitude was very flippant. He scheduled surgery, never did any pre op consulting. Basically told me where to be and that was it. I had the surgery and I never healed. No concern no followup. I kept telling him in my post op visits that I was still in severe pain. His answer was "Well you shouldnt be in any." No pain help, not even pain management. He then prescribed a 3 time injection of Euflexa which did NOTHING. I finally went to another doctor that was recommended by a friend. I am having knee replacement next week. My current Doctor said based on my MRI from last year I should have had knee replacement then. Meniscus surgery was a waste of time and money. Stay away from Summers at all costs. He doesn't care at all about your condition.

Dr Summers gave me my LIFE back. After 4 years of debilitating pain and working it is gone. Tkr on both knees Now I have the perfect pain free life! He has an excellent medical assistant!

DR. Ronald Alan Summers is a Rude!! No communication, No Respect, Arrogant, and likes to guess at what is wrong instead of diagnosing the issue. Then Blame you for not following instructions that he vaguely gave. Upon my return visit he spent about 5 minutes reprimanding me and then gave me no instructions at all. If it had not been for the person who fitted me with a brace (who was very Helpful) I would have received no instruction at all.
