I've been seeing Dr. Bethel since March of 2012 for help with my lower back pain due to a ruptured disc. The disc was compressing a nerve that caused sharp pain down my left leg. After a series of epidural injections, the leg pain was down to "zero" on the 1-10 scale. Back pain,though reduced, was still present. Since then I've successfully managed my pain through scheduled visits for RF neuropathy and meds. The staff is always courteous and professional. Scheduling is excellent with minimal wait times past my appointment time.

My husband has been seeing Bethel in Tampa (on Saturdays)for about a year, I give him credit, because he is the first doctor that has actually tried to help wean him off of the pain meds. But when my husband called after going into severe withdraw (from being taken "cold turkey" off of a narcotic patch, no tapering of dose), no return phone call from anyone, and this is day 3, we are still waiting for SOMEONE to help. This is unprofessional, and quite disheartening to watch my husband go through this. They are pain management specialists, you would think a situation like this would warrant some patient contact.

I have never seen this Dr before and because my ref. Dr. was not able to see me I was scheduled to see Dr.Bethel in our Conversation he told me I need to loose weight and see my mouth shut. I was so upset and started crying so bad I felt myself hyperventilating. He started tubing my shoulder and then sat way too close to me making me feel even more uncomfortable. This Dr made me feel so little self worth I told him I have lost weight already through having Gastric Bypass and that I have managed to keep over a 100 pounds off for over 10 years now. Then he discussed someone else and how they lost 300 pounds through diet and exercisewhich made me feel worse.

Dr. Bethel and his staff are the best I've seen in many years. He took his time with me explaining procedures and how they could help my failed back surgeries. I have had 9 previous surgeries that have left me with all kind of pain problems. His professionalism and knowledge are superb. My previous Pain Management doctor was always late, by at least and hour or two, not this practice. When you are in pain, the last thing youwant to do is sit in a waiting room. Kudos to the entire office, Chris Wittman and Terry are also wonderful to deal with. My pain is now tolerable, and I know I can have other treatments if my current treatment stops working for me. He explained things that my previous doctor never even brought up to me. I thought there was one type of epidural, and if it didn't work, I had to resort to more surgery. NOT SO ANYMORE! Thank you so much Dr. Bethel!
