Dr Michael did a total knee replacement on my 73 year old mother. We just got back from the hospital it has been 2 days. He saw her once the morning after her surgery for about 5 seconds. We were there for two whole days!! Her pain was terrible!!! He would not prescribe adequate pain meds. He did not see us after numerous complaints to the nursing staff while my mom was writhing with pain in bed begging for relif!! He did not send her home with adequate meds!! She is still in terrible pain! His beside manor is ABISMAL!! He is rude, uninterested, arrogant and cowardly! If my mother's knee is messed up in anyway whatsoever I will make it my life's mission to make sure the only thing he ever works on in the future is furniture!!! He is not worthy of working with human beings!!! Do NOT let him touch you or someone you love!! I pray that God removes his heart of STONE and replaces it with one of flesh!!!

He gets a 0! Horrible man so rude and he had this anger in his face that I wanted to punch so badly. Never see this doctor for anything. Just very arrogant. I can’t believe he actually has patients and he actually has a license to practice. Hell look at his ratings that shows you right there!!!!!!!!!!

Dislocated knee. Fractured knee. Recommended 4 weeks of physical therapy with no meds and no additional information. Poor bedside manner. Left without explaining the process or fully disclosing what the MRI said. Radiologist notes on the MRI did not match what I was told by doctor Cox.

First time seeing this doctor. He seemed very caring and knowledgeable about what corse of care to provide for me. Will return in one week to discuss surgery options once swelling is down. Would recommend him.

My mother had fallen and broken her arm. Dr Cox was the surgeon on call. He wanted to send my mother home with pain meds. After me and my brother explained that our mother was in severe pain, he finally admitted her and did surgery on her arm. She later had to go to UMC in Jackson to have the surgery re-done. The surgeon in Jackson stated that he did not understand why Dr. Cox did what he did and basically revised all of what he did. I know that all patients are different but I personally would not recommend him especial after what the other orthopedic surgeon said about his work.

All I can say is horrible horrible horrible. I was going through a traumatic surgery this MD had the audacity to tell me that it was not that bad and that my recovery should not be this long. My knee was smashed and had to be totally reconstructed. After 4 weeks he acted like I should be up and about and would not even discuss concerns with me. He left the room multiple times and when he returned he was in what seemed like another world while I spoke about my concerns. What professional does that? Please avoid this MD. He does not seem concerned about his patients welfare. I hated to change MDs but I'm the long run I am sooooo glad I did. It made a world of difference

Following surgery, Dr. Cox did not even to come in to explain the surgery. The nurses questioned why I needed crutches. When I woke up, I was handed a sheet of papers and sent home within 10 min of me being awake. I had to rely on my neighbor who is a PT. to give me instructions as simple as walking on crutches. During the follow up appointment with Dr. Cox, he explained the procedure, and I quote "will you excuse me" walked out and never came back. This guy should be avoided. I would not recommend a pet to him, much less a human.
