Waiting is always long and it's a complete waste of money.

Waits can be long and in your car, but that is not the fault of the office or doctor- they're just following the proper rules set out by the Health Department. All waiting rooms are supposed to be closed and patients are supposed to wait in their cars, so if you have a problem with that, complain to the state health officer who required that. The doctor(King) and assistants were superior; front desk needs help- one too strict, one way too lenient and lax. Depends on the day as to which one you get. Would help if they were open more days?? Also would also help if the man answering the phone did not try to act like a doctor and promise treatment that the doctor may or may not agree with. He seems real nice, but seems to like for patients to think he is his dad, Dr. Bloom. But he is not a doctor and shouldn't be making decisions about your treatment or making promises about treatment that may not be what's needed. The doctor is super nice and provides great care. The negative reviewers forget that they may not be doing their part by coming every month or doing the other things they tell you when they put your braces on. Affordable. Interested in you and your care.

I've been going here for 4 years (too long, but that's my fault due to skipping appointments when I lived an hour away), and I don't have many qualms. It is a little crazy that they're only open one day a week, and people do line up out the door. But, I'm laid back. I go in at whatever time I want, take a number, estimate how much time I have, get some lunch, go shopping, hit up a park, and come back to check periodically. I'm not gonna sit there for 5 hours. Come on. And if I miss when they called my number, I tell them what number I have and they send me right back. Visiting the dentist is an excuse to play around on 280 for a day. The staff is super polite, maybe a little stressed due to their workload, but reasonably kind and respectful. They're not real doctors but they know what they're doing, and the only time I've ever had bad work done was with a new lady who made an excusable and fixable mistake. She's gotta learn, and I haven't had any problems since. These people who are complaining about the wait, getting there ridiculously early just to stand around for hours, and taking offense to the staff's forgivable stress due to their workload, I feel just don't know how to look on the bright side. If you don't want to wait around, then go somewhere else for half an hour, pop in to check, go play some more. My visits are always super laid back and turn into enjoyable Saturdays. They were the most affordable option for my family at the time, and I paid them off myself two years into the contract. $4,500 isn't cheap, but the payment options are flexible. All in all would recommend.

This has to be the worst orthodontist I’ve ever experienced. We’ve been going here for two years and what started out as a pleasant experience is now a dreaded monthly nightmare. Be prepared to wait a minimum of 2 1/2 hours if your lucky and good luck finding a place to sit in the waiting area since all the seats are taken by non patients who come by the car loads. We arrived today at 2:15 and the entire office was closed for lunch until 3:30, no big deal, went for lunch arrived back at 2:45 only to sit in the parking lot until 3:40 waiting on the office to return from lunch. Patients were lined up at the door to be seen. We didn’t leave until 5:20!!! I’m over this place, will be ended my contract.

if you want to wait around for hours, then this is the orthodontist to go to. they are VERY unorganized, do not go by appointments, and some of the staff are very rude. they also mess up payments.

Clearly the person who said they call you right back must be a staffer. The dr does not put the braces on the dental assistants do. That is not normal. Next my first appointment to have the braces on was to 2pm I left at 7pm. Then it takes 5 hours to get a 10 minute adjustment. I wish I saw these reviews before I went initially. I am now going to another orthodontist to finish the job. Had they told me they were only open on Saturdays and that every Saturday it's standing room only I would not have ever given them a dime. Maybe if they were up front with people and not rushing to tak your money. (They heard and rush people like cattle) then the new redemption it's dr bloom's daughter in law is rude and actually kicked a patient while she was sitting on the floor waiting her turn . I am sorry if we are in your way lady it's packed in here. There is no such thing as an appointments. Today I went in at 6:45 to stand in line so I wasn't there all day and I was lucky number 35 I did get out of there til 12:00 pm and all I got was a new band. One lady that was there who was #6 she said she was standing outside at 4am that is insane!!! Let me make it clear money is not the issue Irs the horrible service and the fact that you waste your life away. No one should dread going to a braces dental appointment . I'm gladly taking my money elsewhere. And on a last note I live in greystone ; minutes away yet I'm always the only one that hasn't traveled from Montgomery talladega Etc. I guess the local people here know that this office having a bad reputation. Please do your homework check around read reviews . If I can save anyone the headache my job is done. I wish someone warned me.
