I'm writing this for a friend who doesn't have access to a computer. She had a rotator cuff injury several years ago. Dr Goldberg operated on it twice, but she still suffered. She had to quit her job and go on SS Disability. She finally went to another orthopedic surgeon who took another MRI and compared her records. The new doctor said that that Dr. Goldberg never addressed the original problem in either surgeries. Now she's scheduled for her 3rd surgery with the new doctor. Besides having atrocious bedside manners, Dr. Goldberg appears to be an incompetent surgeon! Stay Away!

I would NEVER recommend Dr. Bruce J. Goldberg to anyone, EVER! I was recommended to see him after an ER stint. Words DIRECT from his mouth: I only make $17 off you, because you are on medicaid. Why do you have a chip on your shoulders? You must be mad at the world! I don't have to see you except one time! ETC... I filed formal complaint with hospital. I was in complete disbelief of his behavior. I stated I'm uncomfortable being treated by him and I walked out the door. DR. GOLDBERG = ARGUMENTATIVE | RUDE | SPITEFUL | THOUGHTLESS | INCONSIDERATE | BYNICAL | DOMINEERING | INTOLERANT | SULLEN | SURLY and lastly a complete RUDE JERK.

I'll cut this short...the day after my surgery at CDH, Goldberg came to my room & asked me how I was getting home! Not, how is your leg feeling or how are you doing today...nothing! The surgery I had was connecting my foot back to my leg and I was on a morphine drip when he asked me! I refused to be sent home for 4 days. Once I was off meds & my head was cleared, I brought up the fact that he was telling me to leave the hospital the next morning and he got so angry, he refused to see me again! No other doctor would see me because he was the original surgeon! Because of lack of care, I went through 6 years of hell! I finally found a doctor in the loop, at Northwestern hospital (teaching bldg). He did all kinds of tests and found that Goldberg not only put my foot back on crooked but also left bones scattered everywhere, which made me feel like I was walking on glass! I also found out I couldn't sue him because you have to go to the original doctor for 6 consecutive months! DO NOT GO!!!!

Worst pateint relationship ever. Dr. Goldberg is rude and arrogant. He will not answer your questions, and treats your queries as if you're questioning his authority. I would change doctors if I hadn't already started my treatment with him. Avoid at all costs. Why doesn't Cadence Medical Group, which has him on staff in their practice, take notice of these serious complaints and issues?

To say Dr. Goldberg has a poor bedside manner is an understatement. He is rude, arrogant, and in my case, he didn't even bother to examine me. After I told him that my chiropractor suggested I see an orthopedic surgeon, he made a snide remark about finally coming to a real doctor. When I told him what my problem was, he said I was doing all the right things, and what did I want him to do. He said he could X-ray my spine, but why bother because the only thong an xray would show is a 70 year old arthritic spine. I'm NOT 70! He told me to stop dancing. I did get a prescription for physical therapy but only because I asked for it.

We went to this doc from an urgent care recommendation and I will NEVER go again. He was very impersonable, my teenage daugher left in tears. We only went back for a follow up appointment because we needed a gym note. He was very expensive in cost also. For a 5 minute "can you bend your finger, oh yes it is broken, here is a piece of tape" $325.00, next appointment 13 days later, "yes the swelling is down, here's a note for gym".. $157.00. I went to OAD ortho for other appointments, it's a bit of a drive but I will go back there for any ortho needs again.
