I wish I had seen these reviews before I went to see her seeking help for my teen. I went for a parent session and she was extremely judgmental, she also shamed me because I said I could not afford a 90,000 dollar treatment for my daughter for 3 months, and said “we’ll Im very expensive too” and after that kept telling me to go different places and that I need to talk about my financial situation… I’m not rich but I’m not broke either… I think 90k is a lot for a lot of people.
She also diagnosed my daughter with three different things , even though she never even met her yet. I left that office feeling so small and I went there desperately looking for help and she basically said I wasn’t doing enough, and we have been living in hell for the last couple years and visited doctor after doctor therapist after therapist. She needs to retire… she works with people seeking help with their mental state, I can’t imagine if she had seen my daughter the damage she would have caused to an already very fragil person.

Late by at least 45minutes ever appointment. Extremely rude, condescending and does not listen. No respect for interracial families or of you have Christian values. She makes out of the blue assumptions. I was bullied into agreeing with her before finally finding a different doctor.

Dr. Wakil is condescending, judgmental and does not listen. On top of that she was late 2 hours late for my video visit! She kept telling me that my symptoms where the result of not having a regular sleep schedule. My job requires rotating shifts and she recommended that I start looking for a new job. And she kept diving into my past and trying to tell me I had experienced trauma and that I really needed psychotherapy. No thank you! I will not be returning to her for anything.
