Dr. Young is a graduate of Indiana-Purdue University Dental School, where he received the Huckleberry Scholarship for clinical excellence. He is also an honors graduate of Cal State University-Northridge. Dr. Young is a family and emergency dentist with a special passion for offering his patients the comprehensive dental care they deserve. He is dedicated to treating all types of dental needs. He is committed to providing the best preventive dental care to children and adults through regular checkups, cleanings, sealants, and fluoride treatments for kids. In addition to preventative oral care, he is also prepared to assist you with any of your cosmetic dental care needs. From restorative treatments to creating a plan for custom-fitted prosthetics, Dr. Young is dedicated to using his extensive background in treating complex oral needs and completing restorative surgeries. Dr. Thomas Young (EQ Dental) is still under INVESTIGATION with the Board of Dental Examiners (2023-00930). Initially I thought of the doctor & his staff as being nothing but nice & courteous, however what came afterwards was a nightmare. Two primary office personnel (one that is responsible for insurance estimates) directly relay to pt's that their insurance was evaluated /submitted for pre-treatment estimates, when they were not.
They're given inflated invoices to pay, and demand it upfront, and told the ins. company will be billed, when in fact they're not... they don't even submit for pre-treatment estimates, regardless that the patients are told something else.
My entire tab ($5,900) was billed after my first time meeting with the provider, and after meeting 2 additional times, and demanding that things be explained to me, it was time to find another provider.
Since that time, I have been treated by a different provider and have concluded my treatment plan, and happily can report that I am 110% happy with the results.
I would strongly caution you to find a provider that is communicative with what needs to take place, and can patiently answer your questions, demonstrate empathy for your situation, not become upset because you have questions, and need a little extra time with answer them. Likewise, you need an office that will do what they say, and actually follow through with the concern and ultimately if your not sure, then research this doctor and not base your decision on testimonies listed on HIS actual website (because that's all subjective, and ironically, if you scroll down far enough on his list of testimonies, you'll find several that are locked and not allowing the public to review their history. You call also call the Board of Dental Examiners and look into the current investigation that is still under review from march 20923) and then develop your own point of review. The current case is (2023-00930).
