I wrote the review below dated April 16, 2017.
I wrote at the end: "I notice that he has 45% Highly Satisfied ratings here, and 45% Highly Dissatisfied.
So a patient has a 50-50 chance of being Highly Dissatisfied based on the ratings here.
Is that a chance you want to take?"

I was thinking of a different sites ratings and was mistaken.
There are 3 reviews prior to mine, written from 2008 to 2016.
All 3 reviews are Highly Dissatisfied. Mine makes 4 Highly Dissatisfied.

I saw him about 8 years ago, and unfortunately was not aware of this site at the time.
I see from many of the reviews and ratings here that he has not changed and that my experience was the experience of half the people responding here.

I had a PSA number just over the high end, and after a few years of putting it off went to see Christopher Minott for a biopsy.
I thought he did a good job of that and had a good bedside manner.
But 2 occurrences afterward showed a lack of interest in my wellbeing, and a lack of integrity.

He prescribed some pain medication for me to take after the biopsy, and the usual "Give me a call if you have any problems".
I came down with a high fever, and wondered if it could be caused by the pills he had prescribed, or by an after effect of the biopsy.
I called early on a Friday. Didn't hear back by late afternoon and called and left another message. Didn't hear by 15 minutes before his closing time and tried again.
Never heard back from him.

On Monday I still had a fever. I tried thru the day to get him on the phone.
He was again ignoring me, and again didn't call by office close time.
But I called his service and they paged him, and I was told "He's coming back into the office" - he was still outside leaving.

Then a voice came on the phone like Orson Welles trying to do the voice of God - "This - is - THE DOCTOR."
Not "This is Christopher" or "This is Dr. Minott". No - "THE DOCTOR".
As impersonal and pompous as possible. He was clearly angered that I had finally gotten him to the phone after 3.5 days.
He told me that the pills wouldn't cause a fever and to go to an emergency room if I need to.
Thanks "THE DOCTOR". Wish you'd told me that 3.5 days ago.

The other issue is that I was a cash patient.
We had agreed on his rate and the price of the biopsy.
Just before the biopsy, he said "There's a new rep for another lab trying to get my business. I can send the sample there, and maybe they'll do it for less. At the worst, it will cost the same amount as the lab we've been planning on."
This was doing me a favor I thought, and I agreed.

When I got the bill, it was about $65 more than the other lab.
I told the unfriendly woman in charge of billing to tell him that I did appreciate his trying to get me a lower price, but he did state that it would cost no more than the other lab. So I feel it's fair he cover the overage.
I tried numerous times but the billing woman said he had no response.
I told her that he lacks integrity. She said she would pass that on to him.
I never heard from him.

So the miserable lack of post op response from him, and the lack of integrity for not taking responsibility for costing me more money than agreed on and assuring me it would cost no more, makes this doctor a pass.

Run, do not walk, away.

I notice that he has 45% Highly Satisfied ratings here, and 45% Highly Dissatisfied.
So a patient has a 50-50 chance of being Highly Dissatisfied based on the ratings here.
Is that a chance you want to take?

Avoid! Failed to see post-circ adhesions and laughed at me - insisting I was "seeing things." Wasted time and money and went to a new doc who instantly saw and remedied and showed me how to care for the situation. JERK!

He got the diagnosis wrong, as was confirmed by another urologist. He said what I had was an irritable bladder and gave me a bottle of a common drug for this condition, but when I read the info with the drug, it said that I should not take the drug if I have difficulty emptying my bladder, yet an inability to empty my bladder was one of my symptoms. I my opinion, Minott lacked even basic competence. He said that he tries to avoid surgery. If you need surgery for a severely narrowed urethra, and drugs are not effective, you should skip this M.D. Before the appointment, in which I waited 45 minutes in the exam room, I heard him just outside the door arguing on the phone in an abusive and nasty way with a female. When he entered, I stuck out my hand to shake hands with him. He declined to shake my hand. I extended my hand a second time, and he refused to shake it. The third time I tried to shake hands with him, he finally shook hands. He was, besides incompetent, very disrespectful.

After I read the insert included with the medication which had been administared to me on a regular bases, I questioned him as to why he made a change in his decision on a schedule of treatment for bladder cancer. He became very offended and left the examination room. I was preped to have a cisto but wanted to question him first. He did not start or finish the procedure or even tell me what was going on when he left. I dressed and sat in a chair waiting for an explaination. Later he had me brought to his office and politely refused to treat me any more as a patient, because he said I did not trust him. Are you not aloud to question doctors?
