Dr. Willsey, his Staff at the Clinic and at the Plymouth Surgery Center and the Hand OT’s are all top notch. Dr. Willsey gives good advice and is an excellent surgeon. I had bone on bone arthritis in one shoulder and both thumbs causing me great pain. Two other doctors told me I needed shoulder and thumb surgeries. Dr. Willsey reviewed my symptoms and range of motion in my shoulder, and recommended that I do not have surgery and instead, utilize PT, message and exercise to maintain the use of my shoulder at this time, as I would likely have a less than satisfactory surgical outcome. With proper care, my shoulder has only had minimal pain for the last several years. Unfortunately, for my thumbs, due to an undiagnosed hypermobility condition, the first surgeries in my thumbs failed. Fortunately, Dr. Willsey was able to perform second surgeries in both thumbs to return them to normal use without pain.

Dr. Willsey removed a thumb and a toe cyst from me, as well as releasing a "frozen" "trigger finger" on one hand. In all, I have seen him at least 6-8 times, and have been favorably impressed by his diagnoses, as well as his ability to inspire confidence regarding an upcoming surgical event. His staff was very friendly and competent, as well. Would very highly recommend this MD to anyone requiring similar procedures!

Excellent experience working with Dr. Willsey and his staff. I would absolutely recommend him as I went into both hand surgeries relaxed and knowing what to expect. My recovery has been excellent and the pain in so more.

We were extremely happy with the care we received from Dr. Willsey!! He took his time to explain the procedure and made us feel comfortable. We have nothing but praise for him and his entire staff. We would strongly recommend his services. If we ever need surgery again will would definitely use Dr. Willsey!!

I personally would give a high recommendation to anyone in need of Orthopedic Surgery.
Not only would I give that recommendation but during the occupational therapy the “Hand Specialists” I saw not only praised his work but one said if I ever had to have Orthopedic Surgery, I would not want to go to anyone else.

Dr. Willsey was my husbands doctor after breaking both his arms. Dr. Willsey was very kind, never rushed us and completed a complicated surgery on my husbands wrist. His nurse and PA were also very friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Willsey to anyone who needs an upper extremity surgeon.

Dr. Willsey performed a total shoulder replacement for me. He took the time to put me at ease about the procedure in the office and the day of the surgery. He is friendly and caring. I had many questions about both the procedure and the prothesis he would be using. He answered all willingly and completely to my satisfaction. At no time has he or his staff made me feel rushed or unimportant. My experience was as stress free as he could possible make it and my recovery was practically pain free. Would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Willsey or his staff to any of my family or friends.

Dr. Willsey was great. He went above and beyond our expectations. Our son did not end up having surgery, which we were thankful for. He was very good with our son and put him at ease. Would definitely recommend Dr. Willsey.
