We found Dr. Allen to be lacking in people skills and did not make us feel overly confident. The day of my Mother's surgery he was somewhat condescending about a major blood pressure problem she has that we had already told him about. He was not very comforting nor did he spend any time with her when her surgery had to be cancelled because her pressure unexpectedly spiked over 200. He made a comment about us needing to see a proper Doctor to get her pressure under control. We have been to the Mayo Clinic for her situation twice and seen many excellent Doctor's about this, which we had mentioned to him previously. He acted as if we were not properly taking care of her medical problem. We would not even consider using him again as a Doctor.
