As a child I was diagnosed with a chronic autoimmune disorder and have been taking medicine for a plethora of years. Jamie Mandac looked through my entire medical records, and found out I had been misdiagnosed with my autoimmune disorder, calling me at 10 PM a day after my visit. Why am I not giving her a 5 out of 5 rating? Because after finding out this information she told me she would be my primary care physician, a role she backed out of when my health started to decline (without telling me, just by answering my emails with one sentence remarks about how I should worry less and ignoring my phone calls). I was in so much pain from the taper schedule she put me on I began contemplating suicide every day, and would be immobilized to the point of not leaving my bed for several days. When I finally managed to meet with her, she suggested I taper back up, which caused me to have a medical crisis and nearly die. Mandac is a quack, is an anxious wreck when dealing with patients who aren't benefiting from her treatment, and the only reason I'm not suing her for malpractice is because she was smart enough to figure out my correct diagnosis, which I am extremely grateful for. She's intuitive about several things, but is inexperienced and clueless about other fields of medicine.

She truly does not know endocrinology. She does not have any experience. She told me everything was normal and it was not. I took my test results to another endocrinologist who had the knowledge and experience and was treated.

Dr Mandac is fantastic. I still have an endocrine disorder that will never go away, but she is always trying new ways to help me. She returns phone calls promptly, and has answered my every question. If she doesn't know the answer she will find it. I have never had to wait more than twenty minutes to see her (and twenty minutes was the longest and it only happened once). Her assistant Elsa is the best! Elsa also returns phone calls and I feel as though she really cares for me.

She literally knew nothing about my issues and disorder. Seems as if I could learn more about endocrinology and hormone health in 1 hour on WebMD than she has in her entire schooling and career. Additionally, she seemed apathetic to my very legitimate symptoms and suffering. I would never recommend her to anybody.

Got to be one of the worst. Suggested I be tested for Acromegaly. I am quite short and have not grown for 20+ years. Acromegaly also occurs in 8 people per million. Without any symptoms, It makes no sense. She also seemed to give contradictory/incorrect information regarding diabetes. If that weren't enough, seems to be trying to mask intense judgment of those with weight issues, which are common with Diabetes. No one deserves to be treated badly for having a disease, especially when she herself isn't even competent. Someone should remind her of this, as it won't be me. I'm taking my "business" elsewhere.
