This doctor probably saved my life. I had a terminal colon blockage and was literally full of stool. He saw me in his office and immediately admitted me. He then very timely created a sigmoid colon loop colostomy. This allowed emptying everything in me and gives me time to get better and more nourished before the bigger surgery. Dr Surya Nalamati performed 2 surgeries for my husband, one an emergency and the second a colostomy reversal. He said that during the first surgery he was tempted to go to a larger incision but remembered my husband asking for tiny incisions if possible. Rarely have we felt that a surgeon "heard" or gave any weight to what we said. We are grateful for his surgical excellence and his gentle, understanding way!
